Response to 20 questions for futurists (part 1)

Could you clarify your first paragraph? I do agree however that Jesus shall never be in the "flesh" again that can die but He will always be in His resurrected style body.

Response to 20 questions for futurists (part 1)

God created time for man's sake...we should be able to discern which view should be used within the context of the scripture.

Response to 20 questions for futurists (part 1)

Water Baptism symbolizes our being raised up in Christ to be a new man but I still maintain that Christ is in effect saying, The generation that sees all these things...this is the generation that shall not pass until all is fulfilled.

1 Cor. vss align with vs. 11 but vs. 12 is a different topic. Regarding that verse, God created a hierarchy for a purpose so I am in agreement that a woman should not pastor if their is a qualified man in the congregation.

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

I see we agree that it will be a ten-nation confederacy of Eastern Rome, not Western Rome as is the popular opinion.

Did The Bible Or The Papacy Transfer The Sabbath Rest To Sunday?

That verse is speaking of the eternal rest we have to look forward to.

    What is ahead for America?

I believe that America is on it's way to becoming the Babylon of Rev. 17 & 18. The next liberal president just might tip the scales, imo.

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

On that issue I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

Rome simply doesn't have the power that it had earlier in the last century. I don't believe it has any end-time significance at all except the possibility that a pope may be the false prophet but certainly not the a/c. Neither can these things which scripturally are shown to be individuals, can...

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

Regarding the CorelIssue post you are responding to...The temple described in Ezekial was originally intended to be the 2nd temple but Israel failed to live up to God's expectations, so they were never given the opportunity to build what was described or to enjoy the vastly enlarged nation. That...

Response to 20 questions for futurists (part 1)

Actually, there is a sound, logical reason for 1Tim. 2:11. In those days women sat separately from their husbands or men in general. When the gospel was being preached in the synagogues, it was real news and very different from what the women had always heard, so they would unwittingly disrupt...

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

We know that but the Jews don't. That's the whole point of His return to take back what rightfully belongs to Him. The A/c will temporarily usurp the throne.

Did The Bible Or The Papacy Transfer The Sabbath Rest To Sunday?

I believe that Heb. 4 shows us that every day is now the Sabbath as we rest in Christ's finished work on a daily basis. The "Sabbath" was a type for the reality.

anti-christ sitting in the rebuilt Jewish 3rd. temple saying he is god.

For those that might not know, this was 2 Thess. 2:1-4 but we can see what the future fulfillment will look like in Rev. 13:4-6, 14-15.
  15. Trekson

    Matt 24/Rev 13 Timing?

' Well of course, that was the whole point, He taught and lived and died under the law so that we wouldn't have to.

    Two Tribulations?

, I don't deny it, it just doesn't have "great" trib size or significance.
  17. Trekson

    Two Tribulations?

no Dave, they don't. To an eternal God, past, present and future are all the same, so speaking in the present tense about a future occurrance is just par for the course and per my previous point, all of the NT is speaking inn the present tense except for prophecies.
  18. Trekson

    Two Tribulations?

I hate to speak so lightly of the subject but there have been way to many things that have occurred historically that really dwarfs 70ad. Matt. 24:21 just wasn't that big of a deal from a tragedy standpoint.
  19. Trekson

    Two Tribulations?

When we speak forward in faith, the verb tenses don't necessarily equate with the reality, that is what faith is all about.
