    Muslim Friendly Bibles?

Excellent point! I hardly think the Muslims would dream of changing parts of the Koran to appease the other side.

Priest denies communion to lesbian at mother's funeral

No I don't notice everything (after all I am only human), but I did notice what Paul clearly states in 1Cor 11 and a wedding funeral still seems inappropriate without inviting trouble from unbelievers and those who do not discern the Lord's Body.

Christians Should Only Pray To God In Jesus' Name

There is no Scriptural warrant for baptizing for the dead, actually on the contrary... And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, (Heb 9:27) how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested...

Priest denies communion to lesbian at mother's funeral

Gotcha. We're on two different wave lengths. WL1=Church Tradition WL2=Bible.

Priest denies communion to lesbian at mother's funeral

"I don't see why the Eucharist is out of palce at a funeral." You answerered it by... "The danger with celebrating communion when unbelievers and agnostics are present is that they just seem to expect to be able to recieve communion not really knowing what it is andwhy they shouldn't."

Christians Should Only Pray To God In Jesus' Name

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to...

    Why debate?

There is nothing to debate from God-to-man vantage point. But Paul viewed it necessary from man-to-man as I showed in the Acts passages. Are we more 'spritual' than Paul?

    Why debate?

And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question. (Act 15:2) And after there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them...

Killing Babies No Different From Abortion, Experts Say

Has anyone told these two 'experts' that they border on being 'morally irrelevant' themselves?

A funeral is not the setting for a communion service...period.

Signs of the gift of prophecy?

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. (Heb 1:1-2)

    Bible is not important

The bible is only an idol if one wallows in it and yet refuses to come to Christ Jesus for salvation. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. (Joh 5:39-40) or even, You...

Signs of the gift of prophecy?

Not me. Tarshish, here I come! (Jonah 1:3) Training? To lie on one's side for 390 days then the other for forty (Ezek 4:4-6) only to have to eat cow dung instead of human afterwards. Not always as glamorous as Hollywood would portray. But if God says so...so be it.

    Bible is not important

Adam heard from God directly. He passed down what he knew til nearly Noah's time. There were prophets such as Enoch, Noah and Abraham who heard directly from God. The point being we are still dependent on God's revealed Word that came through the prophets and apostles and Jesus and were...

    Bible is not important

Apart from God's revelation found in Scripture our own understanding of origins, salvation, nature of God/man etc. etc. would descend into deep deep darkness.

    1 JOHN 5:1-5

As there are no chapter or verse numbering in the original writings, I think the previous verses helps answer the question... And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect...

    Can You Disprove This?

Both points are revealed in Scripture, yet it is above my finite reason and pay grade as to how both interact in such a way that both remain intact.

    GOD'S LOVE FOR US?

v.21 reminds me of the following verse in which I find much assurance of God's abiding love. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Rom 5:10) There you have it...secured...past, present...

Why is it also important to remember that our identity is not defined by the amount of spiritual fru

All true between us and God. But none of that will compute with the unbeliever, for him, he will identify and define us by our fruit.
