    Diversification

Though the Bible sets forth the divine requirements for human conduct in each dispensation, there are these extended systems of divine government which in succession cover the period of human history, from the time when the first written Scriptures were given to the end of the mediatorial reign...

    Justifying Works

Hi HTE - There are those who teach a separation between the Decalogue and the rest of the Law statutes and ordinances but I see no Scripture support for it. If you think about it, not only was the Decalogue only to Israel, it also never effected forgiveness, which came only from the sacrificial...

    Justifying Works

To me "establishing the Law" is agreeing with it that it shows we are guilty. If it meant that Israel could keep the law then where would the need be for Christ's expiation for sin? "Doers of the law" is a hyperbolic expression of the concept that if there was a doer of the law: Gill: "But...

    Justifying Works

The Greek usage for “justify” has two primary definitions* and in all cases for all words the context determines the usage. I) to render one to be righteous; II) to show or manifest one has been rendered righteous. Since there is only One who is just, it is only He who can render one to be...

    The Light and the Blood

Hi HR and always appreciate your input and encouraging compliments. Romans 8:30 collates this passage, but many who have yet to become God-dependent instead of self-made righteousness will not reach this in their conscience, though the truth of it has been applied to all in Christ. Blessings!

    The Light and the Blood

God not only “forgives” but also “cleanses,” that is, ”from all unrighteousness” and “sin”. Since “all unrighteousness is sin” (1 Jhn 5:17) it’s my opinion that the “cleansing” is in the removal, not of the sin nature, but of the guilt and condemnation of sin, where God’s “grace does much more...

    Spiritual Matriculation

It is a great thing to be able to apprehend the particular lesson which the Lord is teaching us at the moment. Since we are going on with Him, we will be learning something. It is not merely that spiritual health is preserved in order that one may the more effectually learn. In the early stages...

    Eternal Life

Thanks for letting me know of your opinion on Gill's commentary. Out of the many I've used for the last 40 years I see him as the most informative most of the time. He lived about 300 years ago and at that time Christendom was not much distracted with the many false teachings of the last...

    Eternal Life

Hi Tim - Thanks for sharing your concern on the materials, and I feel the below reply is the best answer to your inquiry I've found thus far. Give John Gill's commentary a test view on Hebrews 6:4-6 and let me know what you think, it's definitely my choice. God bless...

    Essential vs Nonessential

Hi HTE - Thanks for your reply, which shows the importance of obedience. But I see obedience only manifesting faith and salvation, not producing them. If salvation could come by works then Christ's atonement was unnecessary and God would not need to impute righteousness to us. Blessings!

    Wilderness Wakening

Hi FH - Amen on the grace, but I see babes in Christ (even after a long walk with Christ) not so much with doubting God but lacking understanding on many things Scripture reveals of Him. Blessings and thanks for your input!

    Eternal Life

Always appreciate your input! John 5:24 is one of the clearest passages addressing the OP. God bless!

    Eternal Life

The sole condition on our part is receiving salvation--"through faith" (Eph 2:8), then manifesting the faith--"by works" (Jam 2:24), which needs much clarification. "Ye see then how that by works a man is justified." The Greek for "justify" is 'dikaioō' and basically has two meanings: to render...

    Eternal Life

The function of the “resurrection” is to join a spirit being with a new indestructible physical body, similar (maybe exactly) to man’s body prior to sinning. It’s also true that believers and unbelievers will both receive a resurrected body (John 5:28, 29), but not both will have “eternal life”...

    Wilderness Wakening

“The Lord is my strength and my song, and He is become my salvation” (Ex 15:2). The salvation of the Father puts us in a place where the oppressor can never reach us, because it positions us in the place and acceptance of Christ risen. When you see that, every question as to divine righteousness...

    Essential vs Nonessential

Essential for receiving salvation: faith in Christ's atonement for sins of believers. Not essential for receiving salvation: faith that you cannot loose your salvation. Though believing in the permanency of salvation is not required to be saved, it is required (essential) for growth in faith...

    Essential vs Nonessential

Hi SJ - Always appreciate your kind replies and comments. I think my point, even after explaining it is just still misunderstood by some, but I've been finding enough on all the sites I share who do. Blessings!

    Essential vs Nonessential

Due to many misunderstanding the title of my article I found it necessary to post an attempt to explain it (which to me bears repeating where I have already mention this). All doctrine is essential, but not all doctrine concerns the same issue, i.e. to receive salvation it is required (essential...
