    Driven or Drawn

It's my belief that God uses everything (ease and hardness) in this life to appeal to adults concerning salvation, e.g. the hardness of this life ("curse") is revealed to "drive" one to choose "life," i.e. Deu 30:19.

    His Pleasure

Hi Mjrhealth - Good point because I'm certain He wants us to rejoice concerning the lost finding Him ("Seek the LORD while He may be found - Isa 55:6), but even the finding of the Lord is the result of Him finding ("drawing" - John 6:44) His sheep (Luke 15:6, 7). Thanks for the reply and...

    His Pleasure

I believe it to be a blessing to humbly seek God’s word for us through others who are well learned in the Scriptures, evidenced by the material they present. Such is the following article which I believe exemplifies tenderness in those who share what the Spirit has taught them, and in turn...

    Driven or Drawn

HI Oz - Thanks for your reply and comment. There are others who have replied with the same concept concerning the intention of "driven," but in my opinion I believe God drives us to seek to be "drawn," through the infirmities of this life, which reveals to us the alternatives. Myself I'm still...

    Driven or Drawn

There are two methods which the Father graciously adopts in order to draw the heart away from this present world. The first is, by setting before it the attractiveness and stability of “things above”: the second is, by faithfully declaring the evanescent and shakable nature of “things of the...

    Rest There!

The Lord Jesus in glory is the ground of my rest (trust—NC). In Him I learn what love is toward such a sinner as I am. I turn to look at that love, not in myself, but in Him; and I rest in my Father. What my soul rests in is what the Lord Jesus is, and what He has done on my behalf. My Father...

    Ever-present Galatianism

God continually led disobedient Israel into the bondage of their sin (Egypt) in order to cause them to continue to seek Him for deliverance from it, to the freedom (Red Sea) of serving Him in righteousness. Every time they became disobedient they were invaded by unbelievers, which caused them to...

    The Adam’s Scratch

I believe one of the most helpful concepts about God is that of His "omniscience." Understanding that He has always had knowledge of all things reveals much of His will and desires in the Scriptures. For example, when He commanded Adam not to partake of the "Tree of knowledge of good and evil"...

    The Foiled Foe

Satan understood Job. He knew the workings of that corrupt nature, which his own lie has formed (“thou hast done this”: Gen 3:14—NC) in the Garden of Eden. He had said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him? Touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to...

    Incompatibility

Amen on the Lord using the wife in theology within your marriage! I believe many protestants within contemporary Christendom within the last century have been at bit distanced from fundamental Scriptural doctrine, i.e. have not learned much since the outset of their rebirth concerning the basic...

    Incompatibility

The intention for my statement "God's reason" is related to my claiming the He has not made it clear in Scripture concerning Israel's eschatology, not the Gospel of Christ concerning Soteriology in receiving salvation. Please excuse me if I'm not understanding your reply correctly.

    Incompatibility

From what I've experienced within a couple of years of fellowship with two different Brethren Chapels, I'm of the opinion that not many of the assemblies are very familiar with the dispensational materials within the last decade.

    Incompatibility

Hi Mjr - Also been missing your greetings and replies, nice to hear from you too! There are not many presently (self included) who are sufficiently accurate concerning Israel's eschatology because Scripture (for God's reason) is not openly clear concerning this. This category of study is as...

    Incompatibility

Hi Oz - Always nice to hear from you! Yes, I've been studying (last 12 years) the materials that are dispensational-centric (held mostly by the Plymouth Brethren or now "Brethren" (even fellowship with a couple Bible Chaples for a while), which use teaching sources from circa 1700s-1800s. I...

    Incompatibility

I believe there is a significant advantage for one to know and understanding the difference in God’s separate dispensations concerning His people Israel, and His children the Church (all believers in Christ, which separates the people and children), because it is through both eras that He worked...

    The New Human

Hi HTE - Appreciate the reply and I agree with your comment. Surly all who are God's will manifest it through obedience, for in every believer "He works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Phil 2:13). If this is not eventually evinced in the lifestyle, it's because God is not in...

    The New Human

Presently, the Lord Jesus is the sole Human without sin, but soon “when He shall appear,” the believers “shall be like Him,” because they “shall see Him as He is” (1Jhn 3:2). “Like Him” in being “without sin,” for sin was imputed to Him when He first appeared in the humiliation of His earthly...

    Faith In The Source

Poster’s (NC) Pro-log: “There is proof in the pudding,” but for faith, belief is not in the proof but in the source of the proof. Belief by faith only, or by proof, it will be one or the other, but once proof is established there is no longer place for belief by faith only. The growth for the...

    The Unpardonable Sin

I agree, those who speak evil of the Church and Body of Christ are unbelievers, and only unbelievers will be condemned.

    The Unpardonable Sin

I can relate to what you're saying, but I believe the main point concerning this sin is that those who committed it when the Lord Jesus was dealing with it could not be saved, because in doing such a thing they would never desire repentance of it.
