The Prophetic Timeline: Why Jesuit Futurists/Jesuit Preterists Ignore It

I agree with most of that but not the last part of the week. The verse says HE shall confirm the covenant with many for one week meaning the events confirming the covenant would be accomplished by Jesus. I don’t see how the disciples preaching the gospel for 3 1/2 years after his death could be...

The Prophetic Timeline: Why Jesuit Futurists/Jesuit Preterists Ignore It

Thanks for your reply. I believe Daniels 70 weeks are literal 7 day weeks. I believe “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city” means Israel and earthly Jerusalem will cease to exist.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

Yes it is, the nation ended at the cross according to Amos.

The Prophetic Timeline: Why Jesuit Futurists/Jesuit Preterists Ignore It

How does the last week play out in the one week is seven years view?

    The History of Satan

One of the keys to understanding Satan is Genesis 3:15. Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. If you can figure out who the two seeds are you pretty much know what Satan is.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I’m sure you dont know what I’m asking…. I don’t even know what I was asking lol. That was probably autocorrect on my phone. If I remember correctly, I was saying the gospel was preached to Abraham before Israel existed. That being the case, do you think the gospel was preached to the world...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I don't agree with your conclusion that Zacharias was mistaken in his faith or hope. I pointed out that even the disciples wondered if God was going to restore the kingdom to Israel. And since Jesus didn't correct their view, I take this to mean that indeed, God was going to restore the kingdom...

    Amigo's Question and Answer Thread

The question of Am I obligated to keep/guard/fence the 10 commandments? No, Christ made us free from the law. Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

The gospel was preached to Abraham before Israel existed. Are we to assume the gospel was preached to non-Jews up until Israel and then the gospel became exclusively for the Jews only?

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

They were aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world because they were WITHOUT CHRIST. There has never been a time when any race of people couldn’t believe God and it was counted to them as righteousness...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

The Old Testament church was hidden (in her closet) in the Old Testament according to Joel 2. There are many things about the church that are either not given or heavily veiled in the Old Testament.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

There are so many interesting things that come up during these discussions that are totally unrelated to the OP. I hate to say it but typing on a forum is probably the worst way for two individuals to communicate but it sure is fun! I’m 60 years, old half blind, and trying to read and type on...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I know you’ve replied to me several times and I apologize, I’m doing other things at the same time and this thread is moving faster than I can keep. I agree the primary focus was of the Old Testament was on the Jews but there are many gentile believers in the OT.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

For the record I don’t believe the millennium is future I believe the millennial kingdom is the believer living in heavenly Jerusalem.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

The men of Nineveh were gentile believers weren’t they?
  16. I

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I agree with all of that. The kingdom of heaven / kingdom of God IS heavenly Jerusalem, those who live there are in the millennial kingdom.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

It doesn’t look anything like amils or preterist try to portray either because both groups ignore verses that don’t line up with their belief system. Think of it like this. The Old Testament uses shadows to represent a heavenly concept. You have to look at a shadow from multiple angles to get...

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

We’ll Daniel 9 is the best proof but most people have been duped into believing 70 weeks is 490 years instead of 70 weeks so that the commandment is to rebuild earthly Jerusalem instead of to build heavenly Jerusalem.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

There will never be peace on this earth, peace on earth is only found in Gods “holy mountain” which is heavenly Jerusalem. Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

    The absurdity of Pretrib logic

I completely agree and each of the passages about the millennium and heavenly Jerusalem give clues as to what the millennial reign is, how long it lasts and when it will happen. There’s no way to understand the millennial reign without reconciling all of those passages and when you do it’s...
