    Dead to the Law

The scripture in Hebrews speaks for itself! Believe whatever you like! Told you before, not going to argue the obvious!

    Dead to the Law

The author of Hebrews is not speaking of the many willful sins we commit as fallen man. He is speaking of "the willful sin" the king of willful sins, transferring ones faith from Christ to something else, in this case, from Christ back to temple worship.

    Dead to the Law

Yes it can! But not in this case! The author of Hebrews has picked one particular "willful" sin as to his warnings to these Jews. That "willful sin" is transferring their faith from the new covenant in Christ back to the Levitical system of the old.

    Dead to the Law

I don't know what justbyfaith has said about Hebrews, I haven't seen or read that from him as you have. But I can tell you my thoughts on it. The author is speaking to the Jews, he goes to great detail to explain the new covenant in the blood of Christ as a "better covenant with better...

    Once Saved Always Saved

I suppose it being "impossible to be renewed to repentance" means they never repented in the first place. You're denying the plain Word of God, period!

    Once Saved Always Saved

What's actually sad is that someone can straight up deny the Word of God when it plainly says that there is a sin a man can commit where it's impossible for him to be renewed unto repentance. This is a person who was "made partaker of the Holy Spirit" and has "fallen away." It is plainly...

    Once Saved Always Saved

What if I told you that Rev. 22:19 refers to all who change the scripture through the many translations from the time it was written until the Lord returns? There are many who claim to be saved and changed His Word through the various translations and will suffer the consequences of Rev. 22:19.

    Once Saved Always Saved

There are literally dozens of verses in the New and Old testament that teach a person can lose their salvation. Most of you who don't believe it, are not going to believe it if someone shows you a hundred. Take Rev. 22:19 for example, their are several of you who will try and explain this away...

    What is ‘an hireling’?

I think Paul describes a hireling pretty well in 2Tim. 4:3-4, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto...

    What is ‘an hireling’?

Who would be a good example of a hireling? In a live interview with Larry King, Joel Osteen was asked why he didn't talk about the Cross, or the Blood of the Lamb? Osteen said, we don't want to insult anyone! Although he is known for motivational speaking, he is still a pastor of a church. Is...

    Once Saved Always Saved

Yes, He certainly did! But I want everyone to know that a continued faith is the battle that we fight. Christ has won the battle over Satan for us, Satan is a defeated foe. Our battle is to hold on to our faith that Satan wants to take and does take from some! We are warned over and over...

    Once Saved Always Saved

I'm not trying to place fear in the hearts of anyone, thinking they may lose their salvation. Our salvation is sure, no one believes in eternal security more than myself. But one must finish the race as Paul did, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."...

    Once Saved Always Saved

PICJA It's not taken as in God takes it, they have forfeited it of their own free will. Just as Ezekiel witnessed the Glory of the Lord departing from the temple, He wasn't wanted anymore and left unwillingly!

    Once Saved Always Saved

You must understand the difference between a blasphemer and a backslider. I have mentioned that several times here in this thread. The author is not speaking of sin as the reason we can no longer repent, he is speaking of "the willful sin" as the reason. That is plainly our faith, when one...

    Once Saved Always Saved

OSAS is a by product of Calvinism, specifically predestination. When predestination is discussed, OSAS doesn't come in the conversation unless someone takes away from the conversation to do it. The same is true visa versa, predestination is a vast subject that doesn't need the sidetracking...

    Once Saved Always Saved

It's ok if you don't believe what I have explained! When you get along far enough in your studies, it will be the light bulb effect. It will become plain as day, but until then, it's ok! Just keep at it, our studies are not in vain, He will deliver if we desire His truth with all our heart.

    Once Saved Always Saved

Most sin is willful sin, but that is not what the author is speaking of! Leading up to Heb. 10:26, it is clear he is speaking of faith! vs. 22, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.... vs.23, let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering...... It is...

    Once Saved Always Saved

I think it's rather simple. When we believe in Christ, accepting Him as our Saviour, we receive the indwelling Holy Spirit. When we stop believing in what saved us as in Heb. 6 and 10, the indwelling Holy Spirit has been humiliated, and has no choice but to leave. As I have said before a...

    Once Saved Always Saved

This thread is not about predestination and that is the problem you don't understand this thread! Start a thread on predestination and I will be happy to join you in conversation! I've been wanting to talk in detail about that anyway!

    Once Saved Always Saved

I seriously do This thread is not about those folks, it's about those "who were made partakers of the Holy Spirit" and walked away no longer believing Jesus is the Christ! Now if you can't see that, then we are back at the truth thing.
