    Discerning : The Water Cults

My church calls that blasphemy, believing water washes away sin instead of the Blood of the Lamb. Now if you were to say that the Blood washed away the sin immediately when they believed, and then water baptism symbolized the washing away of sin, I would be inclined to agree.

    Dead to the Law

Yes, and he mentions that Christ personally gave him that Gospel 3 times in scripture. If they would study that Gospel in his epistles we wouldn't have anyone to argue with! Believe it or not, we could all be in one accord as the early church was at one time.

LOL, my fingers work faster than my brain quite often. You're not the only one!

I and The Father are One

Paul and Barnabas had such fiery dispute that they parted ways. Talk about a fire-cracker, I believe Paul was so on fire for God that he got himself in a lot of trouble arguing at some times with the wrong folks, lol. I don't think he really cared, somewhat like some of us here. But I'm not...

I and The Father are One

Would you include Paul into this? Is he guilty of your claims? Acts 17:17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

    Dead to the Law

Yep, the self-deception is believing you can keep Law by your own doings.

    Dead to the Law

See, it's this kind of arrogance, taking what was said to ridiculousness that no one can even reason with you! Charlie is out!!!

    Dead to the Law

Paul tells us we don't have a license to sin because we are saved by Grace through faith. I seriously doubt anyone who thinks that way has ever been saved!

A Question About The Death and Resurrection of Christ

For mans sin God requires blood, that's how awful sin is to God. Lev. 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul." Christ had to shed His perfect Blood in...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

They didn't believe because He was not the Christ they wanted, the suffering Messiah for the sins of the world. They wanted the conquering Messiah to overthrow Rome. God didn't pass them by, they chose of their own free will to deny Jesus as the Christ.

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Did you not read Acts 10, how that the preaching of the Gospel of Christ by Peter opened their eyes to Christ? They knew God and worshipped Him, but they didn't know the One (Christ) whereby we must be saved. That's why the angel sent Peter to them, to hear the Gospel of Christ to be saved...

    Dead to the Law

Just drop every verse you know, clear your mind from it all, pretend you know nothing of the scripture as far as being saved. Now read carefully Acts 10, the entire chapter. When you finish, you will know exactly how the first century Christians were saved and water baptized. Hearing the...

    Discerning : The Water Cults

You know where it's at! But again, it's not for the reasons you state! Wish we could get along and not argue like this, but there's no way around it. But don't take it personal from me, I assure you it's not meant that way! We just disagree on one of the most important issues in scripture!

    Dead to the Law

Jesus baptized to validate John's baptism of repentance. John the Baptist preached that Christ was coming, believe in Him and repent. The baptism of John is exactly the same baptism we have today. We repent of our sins (that's when we are saved) and then water baptized showing physically in...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

You want proof, here it is, but you and all of the rest of you will deny it. May God have mercy on you! Eph. 1:13 "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of...

    Discerning : The Water Cults

No controversy, if a person doesn't understand the purpose of water baptism and doesn't partake of it, most certainly he doesn't understand God's requirement for salvation even though he says he is saved. Man is not saved in any way when he is water baptized, Christ commands it as public proof...

    Dead to the Law

Oh, so when he asked Jesus "how can a man be born when he is old, can he enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus replied "except an man be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." Jesus is telling him that he must be born of the Spirit, what...

The Myth of saying that Jesus Christ died for all men without exception !

Do you not know that the Holy Spirit brings to life the Gospel in the heart of hearer who is dead to God? When the Gospel is heard it demands a response, the Holy Spirit makes the Gospel alive and man must chose one way or the other, there is no in-between.

    Dead to the Law

Wonder why it doesn't say "he who is not baptized is condemned? Hmmmmmm.......... strange, don't you think?

    Dead to the Law

In Jn. 3:5 read the context! Born of water is the first birth, the natural birth by water. Born of the Spirit is the second birth, being born again, the spiritual birth.
