    Calvinism?

You have not been here long enough to see some of the comments he puts for others. Wait until you disagree with him.

    Calvinism?

1 Timothy 3:2,3 - Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.

    Very well said, Enoch

    Calvinism?

All I am trying to say is that no one can stand before God Holy and righteous on their own works. Outside of Christ there only awaits Judgement

    Calvinism?

See, you agree with me :) the righteousness of the Believer is in Christ (not their own good works)

    Calvinism?

Lot was not righteous on his own. Same for Job, same for Abraham. They were obedient to God. Man on his own holds no righteousness. Were you righteous before you became a Christian? If so, why repent?

    Calvinism?

I believe you were missing my point. We all know God rescued Lot so excuse me for not mentioning him since it was common knowledge. I wonder where I would be without your expert knowledge :p And I noticed instead of following up on the rest of the post you choose to try and insult me. Not...

    Calvinism?

What makes you believe I grew up a Calvinist? Could it be possible that I once took your view until I saw it through a different lens?

    Calvinism?

This was not of their own doing or works, they were obedient/faithful to God; it wasn't because they were faultless. Our righteousness is not about our works and it certainly isn't who we are in our being. God certainly didn't find any righteous/innocent folks in Sodom John 3:19,20 - "This...

    Calvinism?

If man is utterly fallen and a slave to sin, then that means the will of man is not free. It is enslaved. In bondage and by nature rebellious. That's where the issue comes in. Many only accept the part of it which doesn't violate their idea of "fair/freedom" to maintain a sense of control. If...

    Calvinism?

Nancy, man is not righteous. Not one of us. This goes beyond the forum and is a greater issue than many believe it is. As humans, we are not good people.

    Calvinism?

I believe you were mentioning me in the first part of your message, not MJ. Yes, that is my beautiful wife. I know her more than any other person in this world and we even though we are married we are still growing in our relationship. That is what relationships do, they grow. I do not see this...

Romans 8:16 is a beautiful verse!

    Calvinism?

Good post, John 12:19 - So the Pharisees said to one another, "See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!" Acts 17:6 - 6But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some other believers before the city officials, shouting: "These men who have...

    Calvinism?

We all fall short of God’s glory. None are righteous. None.

    Calvinism?

A false witness of God is pulling the "God is love" card with no regard to His hatred towards sin and His judgment against it. God is love and merciful, yes, but God is so much more than just love and rainbows. He is the Great I Am that deserves to be held in deep reverence and not only fluffy...

    Calvinism?

God is angry with the wicked everyday. Ps. 7:11

    Calvinism?

I thought we were dropping “labels” in this case it’s not fair of you anymore to call me a Calvinist anymore lol

    Calvinism?

“Heck, on this very forum, you can clearly see that Calvinists are not well accepted.” @Mjh29 So true!

    Calvinism?

I am not out to divide. I am more than happy to identify with Christ and that's what I do. Those who state against labels are often (but not always) the first to label others.
