    GOSSIP CONTROVERSY

What you're talking about appears to be someone sinning against you. You have to choose whether to cover it in love (meaning to forgive his or her faults and to not hold any ill feelings towards this person) or to deal with it by confronting the person in a godly manner. If you were talking to...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

Plain as day. But they will continue to ignore these and other verses, clinging to those that are less clear or point to Jesus' human nature (Only the Father knows the day of judgment). God's word is it's own interpreter; you use the more clear verses to interpret those that are more difficult...

For Those Who Deny Jesus Christ IS Almighty God

It's quite clear throughout Scripture that Jesus is God the Son, a different person from God the Father but still God incarnate in human flesh. A most recent response I received was "how can God die". Such is leaning upon one's own understanding and not trusting God's infallible word. I admire...

    A new beginning

Hey there, Al! Welcome! I'm pretty new here myself. So glad to hear you got out of that situation. Accountability is essential to a thriving church whose members walk close to the Lord. Personally I feel that every church should have a Presbyterian form of government meaning that there is no...

Sorry, did my second post the wrong way--the one on the bottom's supposed to be read first! I'm learning... eventually!

I don't get these sinless perfection people. It's like they understand only part of the bible. I see some of them quoted my post, but I'm not going to reply. It would be a waste of my time.

I like how the one guy said on the osas thread, "With God all things are possible" to counter your Romans 8 support. As though that means God will counteract the basic point of his revelation to us.

OSAS Can Sin all you Want

So is 6 and 7 of that book; in fact almost the whole book is how we are justified by faith not works. In 7, the war in our beings between righteousness and sin is dramatically accounted. And it is true that when we give into sin we are acting as immature Christians. Mature Christians are able...

A honest letter from the poster child of skepticism to Christians: I found the answer??

It's definitely something to be encouraged.

OSAS Can Sin all you Want

You won't get anywhere with the sinless perfectionist crowd on here, Slovand (and I'm sorry I called you "Slovak" on a previous post! Oh dear--I must have been really tired then. I got MattG's name right when I wasn't sure about it and got yours pretty wrong!). You've probably figured this out...

A honest letter from the poster child of skepticism to Christians: I found the answer??

That's probably where I got it from; often can't remember where in the Bible the verses are. Yes, I did just listen to a Sunday School series on how the Reformation and Renaissance influenced the scientific revolution (it was a very poor sound quality so I could only catch like half the...

Yes, definitely more space out there. I lived in Las Vegas though and did not like it! But there's definitely more options than just the desert. But I'm very happy here in the East coast now.

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Sou That's a great point. I'm not familiar with this culture (? Is that the right word? having trouble coming up with the right one--could be that I just woke up after a very grueling day yesterday)--are there not many options for faith-based tattoos? I imagine it would depend on the...

Hello from South East Queensland, Australia

    That's impressive! Hadn't known that.

A honest letter from the poster child of skepticism to Christians: I found the answer??

Exactly. God led me down a very intellectual route. I was an atheist before knowing the Lord Jesus as my Saviour for around like 15 years. I was interested in the American Civil War nearly all my life (since 8th grade). After graduating from pharmacy school, I had a lot more time to read about...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. Christians in all areas of work would be a help. I think it would definitely help to have Christian-themed tattoos on display for people to think about getting. If I'm going to see a tattoo, I'd sure want to see a faith-based one over any other.

Any other horror fans in here?

I know, and it seems that way on most forums. People are often just so quick to be dissentious. I'm not interested. I'm glad Slovak and a few others (Matthew G I believe his screen name is) are interested in discussion and make it clear they do not care for aggressive debate as it is with me...

Hello! Just joined. I don’t think I’ve been to this one before.

Hey Rita, yeah I'm not into horror per say that much but I actually enjoy true crime which I'd say that would definitely be a "grey" mix for a Christian. It doesn't seem clear to be a sin to me at least; I think if you let it engulf your life and become an obsession then yes that would be sinful...
