I have no idea if He touched His chest, but He did say, "Upon this rock." He did NOT say, "Upon you, Peter." Christ is the Rock, 1 Cor. 10:4. The name Peter means "small stone"--not rock. 1 Cor. 10:4

Absolutely NOT! Peter was NOT the foundation upon which Christ built His church. Christ HIMSELF was and is that Rock and foundation. He would not build His church on a sinful and fallible man when He could build it upon himself--sinless, perfect. and infallible.

While I could be wrong as "more knowledgeable" people often tell me, I believe that to "call upon the name of the Lord" means to do it with the atttitude of repenting of all sin, admitting to Him that I am a sinner, cannot save myself, and in need of a Saviour--which is Christ the Lord.
