    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I asked if Jesus Christ merited the favor of God? Simple question. Why is it so difficult for you?
  2. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

    Clearly you are floundering.
  3. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You claim God chose you and passed over those just like you. That makes you meritorious in God's choice. God chooses GOOD THINGS..... Not you. You're not good.
  4. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Relying upon the work of another isn't meritorious.. In fact, the very opposite of an meritorious action. Faith isn't works.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

So God didn't chose Jesus Christ? Do you know what the word "means".... describes? Joh 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 1Pe...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You are denying the meritorious choices of God. What God choices is valuable. You're "back dooring" merit for yourself and denying the same to your fellowman. Those just like you. Did Jesus Christ MERIT God's favor?
  7. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I'll be glad to answer that question when you admit that God chose Himself in Jesus Christ? You're trying to wiggle out your mistake. God didn't choose you. God chose Himself in His Son. There is not one single Scripture that names you buddy. Not one. Yet, here you are claiming God chose you.
  8. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Yes. I know what Calvinism teaches. However, this is NOT what the Scriptures teach. Grace is the Lord Jesus Christ. Not YOU. You have REPLACED JESUS CHRIST in your theology.
  9. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You give to those you believe merit your gift. Either way, you can't deny the Scriptures. The tithe is to go to the storehouse. That place is gone and God destroyed it. Your claim of tithing is bogus. It is self serving and empty of Scripture. Much like Calvinism
  10. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

That is correct. God choice in Jesus Christ was a choice in Himself. You're so confused by Calvin you don't even recognize the Holy Trinity when it is right in front of you...... Who you preaching to?
  11. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

All either of you are doing is blaming God for the meritorious choice. You can't deny merit in the choice of God. God doesn't chose unworthy things. God's choice was in His Son Jesus Christ alone. Not in any human being.
  12. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

So God made a choice in YOU and rejected other just LIKE YOU.... and you somehow believe that isn't meritorious? If that isn't "oceanfront property in Nebraska"... what is?
  13. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Giving money to your choice of assemblies isn't giving to God. It is paying a membership fee to your choice of clubs. God said to bring the tithe to the "storehouse". That "storehouse" was destroyed over a thousand years ago. All you have left is man made nonsense in the matter. You're...
  14. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I gave up tithing a long time ago and God has done nothing but bless me since. Your "curse" is nonsense. The storehouse was destroyed. There is nowhere to bring the tithe.
  15. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Sure it is. You say that you are just a sinner and all are sinners.... and then say that God choose YOU. That is an oxymoron. God chose Himself in Jesus Christ. Not you. You have replaced God's choice in His Son with YOU...
  16. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I've already told you. Read it again.
  17. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

At least you admit it. That is more than most Calvinists will admit. Must be nice to claim such and deny such to your brother "Abel"....
  18. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

You don't believe that. You teach that God choose YOU and rejected those just like YOU... that is an oxymoron. Nothing more them empty rethoric to distract from the fact that you're claiming/present God's meritorious action yourself and denying it to others.
  19. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Well. Be sure to give him your money and tell others you're serving God. You might as well pay him. He is believing for you.
  20. P

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Sure it is in your system. You claim God chose YOU and "passed over" those just like you. God's choices are meritorious.
