with out the infant baptised there would not be one christian to day

Actually, what the Bible does not teach is the fanciful "age of accountability". What the Bible does say is that entire families were baptized regardless of age, a good example being the jailer's family when Paul evangelized the jailer after an earthquake compromised his confinement.

"Heaven Is For Real" Is it really such a threat?

And that's my point. It was written to encourage us, not to be an expert witness on what heaven is. The Burpo family has essentially said they've learned to look past all the fundamentalists attacking their book and look to all the people who were helped and comforted by it.

    Defining Social Justice

The wishy washy half hearted anti-abortion stance easily explains this. If Christians are only somewhat against abortion, then when competing interests conspire against the life of the unborn, abortion will be considered as an option. Catholics also have a high rate of the use of...

Actually it's just your opinion. In the end that's all you have, your own misguided opinions.

Understanding the Egypt Situation: SAT-7 Brings Firsthand Clarity

I'm always glad to hear about Muslims that go against the belligerence of their religion and try to do the right thing, even at risk to themselves. Rahab the prostitute was not a Jew, but was saved because she helped the spies of Jericho. I think there is a special place in God's plan for...

with out the infant baptised there would not be one christian to day

Now you're saying that people who believe in efficacious water baptism are "unsaved false religious people".....and that would be the vast majority of Christians all over the world. That's a lapse in logic there. The Titanic can be sinkable while the Pope infallible when speaking definitively...

    Apostasy:

And yet works can't be discounted as a necessary ingredient. You can argue quite compellingly that works aren't the salvific agent, but as I pointed out to somebody else, the Bible says repeatedly that people will be judged by their WORKS, whether they be good and evil. And then you have the...

"Heaven Is For Real" Is it really such a threat?

Actually, people being judged by their works comes directly from scripture in numerous locations. Way to know your Bible! There's actually a word for that notion. Purgatory. It's a preparation for those going to heaven and it's nothing to be afraid of because Jesus will be there with us every...

"Heaven Is For Real" Is it really such a threat?

I don't think you even have to be Christian if the opportunity never availed. God will judge each man according to their works. Great post. I've also learned not to scoff at these experiences.

"Heaven Is For Real" Is it really such a threat?

For me, the title of this book is also the main point of the book. But Christian radio talk show host Hank Hanegraaff, (The Bible Answer Man) still rips into this book now written 3 years ago as if it were a dire threat to sound doctrine. http://youtu.be/hhT36Dizo2s For those of you...

    Defining Social Justice

So now the Republicans didn't "hijack" middle America, they actually convinced people. And how is being a Republican against the interest of Catholics? How is that even remotely true? And how is it better for Catholics to support a party that supports abortion on demand? Oh, but that's...

with out the infant baptised there would not be one christian to day

actually Jesus said "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." Far from supporting your point, it makes inseparable faith from the action of baptism. If those who both believed and are baptized are saved, then by default those who don't...

    Apostasy:

Wow. I really must have touched a nerve because your font got bigger. And why am I not to be trusted, because I espouse the amillenial anti-dispensationalist viewpoint shared by the vast majority of Christians all over the world? Seems counterintuitive to me. The fundamental problem with the...

    Apostasy:

If you die refusing Jesus Christ, you cannot be saved. My point was that if God were so austere and set the doctrinal standard so high that only those who believed the precise and correct thing can be saved, then it bodes fearsome for Protestants if indeed the Reformation were in error and the...

Can you have God as your Father, without the Church as your mother?

I like your greeting and setting the right tone even on a post that disagrees with us. You start with a blessing and that scores high in my book. Compliments.

    Apostasy:

I specified in my post, which you didn't read. And if you think that Catholics are universalists, then you need an education on what the Catholic Church believes. If you're looking for the thousand year reign of Christ sometime in the future, I have news for you. We're in it right now. And it...

I love how your phrased that!
