Hi @Debp I have no real opinion one way or another on icons. For other reasons, we may not join become members of the Orthodox church.

Im getting a lot out of these videos. I remember feeling such a desire to detach from this world on first becoming a Christian. Unfortunately there were some that threw wet blankets on this desire. Im excited to come back to it.

This may sound counterintuitive but our homes and all the things in them are going to burn up one day. It's important to seek God and the Kingdom first ---all the rest, including upkeep of the home is secondary. Once you prioritise seeking God in prayer, the rest falls into place.
