    Agreed. “Sleep” is used in Scripture as a euphemism for dead, not to argue that one is NOT dead.

    I want to differentiate between “getting married,” aka the wedding from being in a committed relationship. My wife and I were committed very quickly, inseparable after our 2nd date. We had the wedding about 3 years later.

    No. Humanizing Jesus is not demeaning him. Scripture repeatedly says he is a man, after all. 1 Timothy 2:5 For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

    This is one of the worst errors Christians make. In fact, in Christ we do have a heart that we can trust. Ezekiel 36:26 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
