They're driven by AI. They have cameras that use lasers, probably infrared, to see what's in front of them. So if you're walking on the sidewalk and step in front of one, it'll see you and stop. That being said, there's still a human on the other end that can take control of the robot requests...

Yay or nay? Honestly, I would be concerned about the drone crashing or losing the pizza. Not to mention this also means delivery people will lose their jobs to technology. The delivery robots in LA are very determined. You gotta admire a robot trying to do it's best.
