IF YOU ARE AMONG THOSE WHO SAY THERE ARE SCRIBAL ERRORS IN THE KJV, PLEASE READ THIS

You might want to read up on these Textual Criticism statements you make. The (Majority Text) MT was known for harmonizing parallel texts. For example, if the Gospel of Matthew had a fuller explanation of an event in the life of Christ than did Luke, the MT might add some of the text from...

What Bible Translation do you think is the best?

Lambano, What about the printed editions of NET. Do they have footnotes in them. I bought the printed NET bible many many years ago and it has the footnotes in it, 60,932 to be exact. Just curious if they have stopped that.

Do we have free will or are we predestined?

Remember what I said, this teaching of Paul's is in the Apostolic Age. The sign gifts became obsolete according to Heb 2.1-4. The first generation is distinguished from the second generation. The first generation heard him, the second generation did not. This is also in Apostolic Age, the Age...

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

Bear in mind that there are two different meanings for justification (or vindication). In James, one justification/vindication is before God and one justification/vindication is before man. Works do not prove salvation, otherwise the Pharisees were modal believers. NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS...

How to guarantee your prayers will be answered

If we put other related verses together with this one, we see that Christ is assuring the believers that their prayers will be answered just as His were. If we pray as Christ did, our prayers will be answered. But there is the rub. Our prayers have to be patterned after Christ’s. The things...

How to guarantee your prayers will be answered

I have a few comments on this often-referenced verse. John 14 “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” Many have laid claim to this passage as a promise from Christ that He will answer...

Do we have free will or are we predestined?

Anyone who claims to hear Jesus talk to them during this Church Age (post Apostolic Age) needs psychiatric help. Even the Pope who claims to speak ex cathedra is out of line. Hebrews says that: God SPOKE (past tense) to us in a Son (Heb 1). He no longer speaks to us until we are with Him (in...

    KJV and some goof ups

No, I wrote the article. FYI the most influential bible was the Latin Vulgate, it was translated in the 4th century.

    KJV goof ups

I mentioned earlier that since the first publication of the KJV of 1611, of which there have literally been thousands of corrections to it, many Greek Manuscripts have been discovered. How one or two of those manuscripts were discovered are interesting stories. More than 200 years after the...

    KJV goof ups

He should have never put it in there! The King James Version (KJV) was originally published, in 1611, by the royal printer, Robert Barker. In the margins of that very first edition, there were some 8,422 notes. Several of these notes indicate that a particular verse itself may not be...

    Phileo and Agape Love

One of the most famous events in ancient history was the assassination of Gaius Julius Caesar on the Ides of March in 44 BC. Some 200 years later, a Roman historian named Dion Cassius, described the funeral that followed. Of particular interest was this sentence he penned: “You loved him as...

Do we have free will or are we predestined?

Can someone define predestination? And then define free will. I don't see predestination related to obtaining eternal life!!

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

Didn't quite follow your concern here or your comment. A better translation for a man being justified before man could be translated "vindicated." Please note that this justification/vindication does not imply salvation. Justification before God is to salvation.

JUSTIFICATION: Before God or Before Man? Examining James chapter 2

It is important to remember that there are two justifications in Scripture. Abe justified before man, does not mean that he was not justified before God also. Am I misunderstanding your questions?

Excuse Me - Your But's In The Way

I hope you don't mean "a LEAP" of faith. It would be that if there was no Holy Spirit to CONVINCE us the truth of the Gospel.
