Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

Revelation 13:12 says: ποιει τγν γην και τους εν αυτη κατοικουντας ινσ προσκυνησουσιν θηριον "It makes the *land* and all those dwelling in it worship the beast" There was no concept of planet earth in Biblical times.

    The Beast Revelation

<Can't be because the MOB is placed in the forehead or right hand and CCs are not placed in those places.> The functional part of a credit card is the chip. It is tiny and can be placed within flesh.

Question for Premils (Amils welcome to answer): How many times are the dead judged?

<How many times are the dead judged?> IMO once: 1. Believers once for rewards (Revelation 20:1-6). 2. Unbelievers once for condemnation (Revelation 20:11-15).

THE WAY IT'S WRITTEN: How "shortly"?

IMO: Jesus will return sometime after two events take place: 1. Israel is back in the land, and declares independence (done May 14, 1948). 2. Jewish temple is rebuilt (Malachi 3:1).

    Revelation 4 interpretation

Randy Kluth noted: <All good points. I don't know.> IMO: o. "Day and night" is a figure of speech indicating the same thing as "eating day and night" (i.e. continually, not continuously). o. The four living creatures are cherubim.

    Revelation 4 interpretation

The Light noted: <There will be men in heaven with new bodies......after a rapture.> I certainly agree. The apostle Paul spoke of being caught up (a.k.a. "raptured") to heaven in Romans 12:1-6, and that would likely require an imperishable body, different from what we have now. We look...

A BLATANT ERROR IN THE NEW BIBLES

Apparently in times past "Isaiah the prophet" was used as a header for the "prophetic books."

    The Beast Revelation

ewq1938 noted: <Can't be because the MOB is placed in the forehead or right hand and CCs are not placed in those places.> Chip implantation is an existing technology. The modern credit card is not a chip, rather the card houses the tiny chip.

A BLATANT ERROR IN THE NEW BIBLES

Lambano noted: <"What did Mark actually write?"> That's a question, the manuscripts differ on this.

A BLATANT ERROR IN THE NEW BIBLES

IMO: The KJV is correct in saying "as it is written in the prophets" because Mark 1:2 is taken from Malachi 3:1 and Mark 1:3 is taken from Isaiah 40:3.

    The Beast Revelation

IMO: The mark of the beast is basically a credit card. Your credit card has a tiny electronic chip that is sensed by an electronic card reader. That same chip could be inserted into the wrist or forehead. It conveys your credit number to the card reader in an efficient way.

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

IMO: o Antichrist is a human ruler supported by Satan and fallen angel. Satan (the dragon) gives him power and authority" (Revelation 13:1-10). o. The Bible says, "Satan roams the earth like a hungry lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1Peter 5:8). o Angels can choose not to be seen (2Kings...

    The Beast Revelation

IMO: Revelation 17:1-5 "woman" is said to be the city of Babylon, a great and wealthy city. The "beast" is said to ascend from the abyss. Presumably this is a fallen angel who was confined to the abyss when Jesus was resurrected. He is released in the end times, and he kills the two witnesses...

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

WPM noted: >human being... has been alive on earth for over 2000 years> IMO: o. Antichrist = *human* ruler in the end times. o. Beast = fallen *angel* released from the pit ("abyss") in the end-times. Satan and his angels were cast down to earth long ago (Ezekiel 28:14-16). Angels and...

Revelation 13:12 says "everyone on earth, will be forced to worship the beast", does that mean everyone on earth needs to repent? (refuse to repent?)

IMO: The "earth" ruled by the beast is Greek γη = "land." There was no concept of planet earth in Biblical times. The beast is a Middle Eastern ruler whom some at the time will regard as the promised Messiah. The beast (a.k.a. "Anti-Christ") gets what's coming to him in Revelation 19:17:21...

    The Beast Revelation

Grafted branch asked: <Can you give us your view as to why fornication is a sin against the body but all other sins, including the mark of the beast, wouldn’t be.> Fornication involves the whole body in an intimate fashion. Other sins typically are not so bodily intimate. God created the body...

Help... the four creatures in front of the throne in Revelation

"Wick Stick noted: <Well, there's such a thing as will. Is there any such thing as un-free will?> IMO: We are created beings. We did not create this universe, we were placed here. In that sense we are puppets of the One who placed us here.

Help... the four creatures in front of the throne in Revelation

Wick Stick noted: <That’s not a good answer to a very serious claim that God created sin. You know that is not true… I hope!> Check out Romans 9:19, Isaiah 45.7.

Help... the four creatures in front of the throne in Revelation

Wick Stick asked: >Are you perhaps speaking of sovereignty, rather than free will? God is sovereign. People are not.> IMO: "Sovereign" stems from Latin "superior" = "to extend above" (Oxford Latin Dictionary). The characters in a novel have free will; the author wrote the book. God is the...
