Matthew 24:30 may have a significant mistranslation

I believe they will. To me it's the only theology that makes logical sense. More importantly, the Bible says that it is God's will that ALL will be saved and it also says that God gets what God wants. :) 1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who...

Matthew 24:30 may have a significant mistranslation

That's why it seems more likely that the interpretation should be the "tribes" in "the land" (of Israel) would mourn, not the entire world. And the reason the tribes of the land would mourn would be due to the destruction of Jerusalem and the dissolution of Israel. After all, what would Aztecs...

So Joseph married Mary but didn’t have sex?

The verse describes Joseph and Mary as being husband and wife but NOT having yet engaged in sex. That seems extraordinarily odd. Of course, there are many mysteries in the Bible with answers that can't be known until we're with God, I guess.

So Joseph married Mary but didn’t have sex?

Why would they be married but not have sex? Matthew 1:24-25 English Standard Version 24 When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, 25 but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Pastor Jim Jones received water baptism. Do you believe he went straight to Heaven immediately after murdering hundreds of his cult members and committing suicide?

So those with a doctrinal misunderstanding are goats?

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

It seems that the thief repented in that moment and was spiritually baptized as he otherwise could not enter Heaven, right? Water baptism and spiritual baptism are two different things.

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

So a person who loves God, loves others, and lives a holy life but chooses not to receive water baptism is condemned to forever torture in Hell?

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

@GRACE ambassador What does your emoji mean? If one follows Jesus but decides that water baptism is unnecessary and rejects it, do you believe that they will be sent to "Hell"?

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

Is water baptism evidence that the baptizee has repented?

"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."

A truth that the Pharisees undoubtedly took as the Supreme insult.
