One Baptism. - What is it?

I honestly don't know if you are being serious with that statement above. Are you? There's definitely more than two baptisms. And no one seems to understand another baptism in scripture either. Except for me, in my opinion, of course. :Broadly: 1CO 15:29 Otherwise, what do people mean by...

One Baptism. - What is it?

That's what happened in Acts 10:44. When Peter was preaching the gospel and they received the baptism from the Holy Spirit of God and spoke in tongues FIRST. Then Peter commanded them to "be baptized in the name of JESUS CHRIST". The spirit in every human gives life to that person. It...

One Baptism. - What is it?

Is this 'a baptism' that even pertains to us...or is it a baptism that pertains to Jesus? EPH 4:3-6 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, 5 one Lord, one faith, one...

    Was Jesus a Christian?

I checked, and you're right. I know I'm not a "Muslim", "Agnostic", "Atheist". "Other Faith" must not allow access to whatever? So I will leave my ball in the court of the court owners and explain my decision to true Rule Maker' on the day I am in HIS COURT.

    Was Jesus a Christian?

And how did Jesus 'learn' this doctrine from God? I believe it was because the spirit of Jesus had the same unction/anointing on His spirit. That's what 1Joh 2:20 says Jesus put on our spirits to lead us into knowing the truth of all things. 1JO 2:20 But ye have an unction (5545 chrisma...

    Was Jesus a Christian?

I'm sorry if I that seemed like a lot. And disagreement is bound to be the case. But hopefully this thread can disagree without being so adversarial about it. pryw Having said that, do your last 8 words above mean we 'have' to call everyone here a "christian"? Because, in the last 3 weeks...

    Was Jesus a Christian?

Not to forget 'the perfect law of liberty' = being led of the anointing towards perfection, and "the law of sin and death" = led of the sinful flesh nature to sin.

    Was Jesus a Christian?

I think you are on the right track. Jesus, followed 'the anointing', which was smeared on His spirit, in the womb before birth. And He was 'spirit led' to never commit a sin, when he was tempted by his flesh like all humans. We have that same anointing on our spirits after they are born again...

    Was Jesus a Christian?

@St. SteVen I know I'm late coming here, but I just did find this thread and have been pursuing this very same topic for a month on another thread. But I decided last night I was done there. And I see a couple of other names here from that thread also, and hope they are OK with me being here...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Kidding doesn't leave bite marks 'half the time'. And the other half of what you are saying leads me to believe I should make better use of my time. joy: :nitenite: This is a 'Nitenite' emoji. Have a good sleep.

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Good question, I'm trying to study that PATH now....but you keep interrupting with more elephant texts that take too long for me to respond to....strs The closest person to me spiritually now, is the one who asked me your first question above, and then your second one below it. I studied...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Scripture doesn't say our spirit was 'resurrected', it says it was "born again". And I believe our spirit's rebirth happened when the 'christos annointing' from GOD is being smeared onto our birth spirit. That's my latest UN-ORTHODOX view with our study in this thread. I just did a Google...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Boy I am way behind here. And you are pointing out just how long I believed differently. BUT the FORUM choices probably didn't give me "The WAY" as an option. ACT 9:2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

:woohoo!: I try to encourage one page texts for that reason. People can't eat the elephant. And my cognitive shortcomings really get lost when you write twice to answer one. I believed in God, but I accepted JESUS as my savior and lord. And when I did I FELT born again. I never doubted that...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

Correction to above, I said; CHURCHIANITY (SIC) Hey, SIRI what does (SIC) mean? "So “sic” is a Latin adverb that is used to note when a quotation may not be correct in terms of spelling or grammar. It was first used in the English language in the late 1850s...." :contemplate: Our city of...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

I'd say Churchianity (sic) is the culture which manifest differently. I'd say 'church' culture, at war with itself, is opposite of manifesting the christian nature of Christ. EPH 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. All the while claiming the...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

What does the BIBLE say? JER 8:8* "How can you say, 'We are wise, And the law of the LORD is with us'? But behold, the lying pen of the scribes Has made it into a lie. Which flavor of Jews scribes could this verse above be speaking of concerning the writing of the OT? Could it be referring...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

You said; "Let the Bible", singular, interpret itself??? Which ONE AJ? There are 300 different bibles out there, all interpreted differently. And some of them say replenish, but you can't accept 'that bible'. But then you admit ignorance of the Pre Adamic race of degreed theologians. But then...

When exactly do you become a Christian?

If you would have pushed the next button in your BLUE LETTER BIBLE search, quote above, guess what you would have found? You would have found which 1 of the 7 verses in the OT that THEOLOGIANS DID INTERPRET that word as "REPLENISH". And it appears to me that the THEOLOGIANS don't agree with...
