    The Cross--Then Surrender

While I do not doubt that many a child of God has received distinct and marked blessings at certain stages of life, I believe it is a great mistake to construct a theory out of it. Many a devout Christian has enjoyed the liberty of the Spirit under some such name as “the second blessing,”...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi Rod! Very true and informative above-average information! The transposed and interpolated passages in the modern translations do often seem philosophical and natural, rather than spiritual. I strongly agree that these versions have resulted in many ceasing to read the Word because not many of...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Thanks for the explanation, and I thought that's what you meant, but I wanted to be sure not to offend you. It seems we are going around in circles now, repeating and covering the same ground too much. It's obvious that we have a different understanding about this issue and thanks ok of course...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

I don't know what you're trying to say here, so I don't want to comment of the wrong thing. Let me know what you mean in another way. Thanks! I can't doubt that the complete Word of God is contained in the correct translation. The translation isn't flawless but the Word in the right translation...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

I find that the notations at the bottom of a text just attempts to discredit Scripture, attempting to say they shouldn't be included. The KJV italicizes words they did not find in the manuscripts. For example, 2Sam 21:19 says "Elhanan killed Goliath," in the modern versions, but it's suppose to...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi Randy! Something I'm finding difficult to explain is that all the modern translations made from the recently discovered manuscript copies do not contain the entirety of the Word. This I believe is one of the primary issues concerning the scriptures, considering what the Lord Jesus said in...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi Brother, and yes, I've read of other things they did that are wrong, but I think there's enough that has been expressed here to warn others of their character (even if they eventually left the guild). Satan has been attacking God's Word ever since the first strike in Genesis 3 with "Yea hath...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi Brother Randy, appreciate your replies and candidness! I want to try to make this as informative as I can; you may already be familiar with much or all of it. All Bibles derive from one of two manuscript groups: the Minority Text and the Majority text. The Minority text contains all of the...

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi IR, thanks for the reply! I truly believe it is still Satan continuing his attack on the Word, ever since the first false words-"Yea, hath God said" (Gen 3:1). God bless Brother (I had a twin brother named Robin)!

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

Hi Randy! Thanks for the information, but I'm uncertain if the authors of the articles favor Wescott and Hort. Let me know. Thanks and God bless!!

Very Important Information about Bible Translations

What most are unaware of is that Westcott and Hort were first formers of the creation of a critical text of the New Testament Westcott and Hort text. Their work, published in 1881 as The New Testament in the Original Greek, became a highly influential critical edition of the Greek New Testament...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

Very true and very good point Brother! The modern translations make me think of rat poison, which is made with 90% cornmeal and 10% arsenic. They are not missing too large of pieces of Scripture, so most might not realize that any missing Scripture is a lack the Word of God (Mat 4:4).

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

The NIV uses the same source as all the other modern translations, e.g. 1Jn 5:7--"For there are Three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are One." All they have is "For there are three that testify." The Trinity comes out most in this verse...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

Hi, and thanks for your reply! The footnotes are just misleading excuses! These translations are briefed due to omissions, and just enough not to be noticed to those who do not read and study the Word much. It reminds me of rat poison, which is 90% cornmeal and 10% arsenic. In my opinion the...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

Most Bible studies will not involve one of the most significant issues of the times, which has to do with modern Bible translations. This issue of course cannot effect one’s salvation, but will effect one’s spiritual growth, not receiving all of God’s Word and being exposed to misleading...

    Scriptural Baptism

Dr. Kenneth Wuest stated that “the Greek word for ‘baptism’ speaks of the introduction or placing of a person or thing into a new environment or into union with something else, so as to alter its condition or its relationship to its previous environment or condition.” When we believed, the Holy...

    Faith’s Strength

How strong your faith is, will be determined by three primary elements: how much you study the Word of God, how you understand the Word of God and proper application of the Word of God! Knowing God’s Word is what can save a soul if “rightly dividing” (2Tim 2:15 - understanding) the Word, and...

    Truth Be Said

One can know God casually and be saved. But He needs to be known intimately, so a Christian can grow in the image of Christ (Rom 8:29; 1Co 15:49; 2Co 3:18). How do we get to know God intimately? Through enough church attendance and Bible study. There’s no way He would allow a believer to grow...

    Love’s Loveliness

Hi, and appreciate the depth pf your comments! Man's love is conditional is accordance with how we love ourselves; but God's love through us is unconditional, it being a love from His love (Jhn 15:12).

    Love’s Loveliness

It may seem a strange thing to say, but I say it after considerable thought, and some years of experience in talking to people of all kinds, that there is hardly anything so little understood by Christians generally as the love of God When I say “the love of God,” I do not mean His love to the...
