Quality of life for hospice care patients - The morality of assisted "departure"

My immediate gut reaction is to shout 'no way'. But, It is the reality of life in so called ' care homes', of the indignities experienced by the elderly and I'm not talking about those actively dying or in great pain...

I am really struggling, with flesh that is puffed up - I don't know how to respond to the law of sin

Nowhere does the bible try to quantify one contrition or ones repentance. 1John1: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. That is what the bible says, if you are sorry say so to God, if you find old sins keep...

Are our English translations of the Bible, the inspired and inerrant Word of God?

Without the bible we have no way of checking who is actually listening to God and who isn't.

So frustrated at sin right now - stop sinning the old sin, sin the new sin?

What pleases the Spirit is what pleases Jesus and he said, ' If you love me, you will obey me. ' Basicly live for Jesus, acknowledge that one will fail and keep repenting, getting up and trying again.

The heart felt way of Christians or worldy ways

Jerimiah17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? It is God who judges our intentions, he knows how we deceive ourselves into thinking we do not sin. What is sin? Literally it is missing the mark. What is the mark? 100% obedience to Gods law...

How do you keep your anger in check while witnessing all of the immoral filth and evil of this world?

There is nothing wrong with anger at injustice, cruelty etc around the world. Its what you do next that matters. Often there is nothing physical that we can do, but we can pray. We can seek out those Christian organisations that are trying to help and we can use them to better inform us about...

Are our English translations of the Bible, the inspired and inerrant Word of God?

Do preacher still do that? I~ can remember preachers brandishing a bible and proclaiming its true every word from cover to cover, God breathed etc etc. I can also remember the same preacher in a bible study admitting that the forward, notes, chapters and verses were not God breathed. This...

[can't discuss in non-Christian forum] If someone goes from being atheist to being agnostic, is that progress? (remember?)

Let me save you at lot of work. All religions require there followers to earn something, karam etc etc. Christianity is totally different. The follower canot do anything that earns aproval or reward, rather the follower has to recieve a free gift of a restore relationship with God and spiritual...

Speak to the value of following Jesus

Statistically being religous has health benefits, there is far greater social support among those involved in a church community. As Dawkins says he is a social christian because Christianity supports a better society than a non christian socity ( thats his words not mine ) On a greater social...

[can't discuss in non-Christian forum] If someone goes from being atheist to being agnostic, is that progress? (remember?)

Are they? If they genuinly are seeking God then they will find him. God is not so out of sight that he cannot be found, even the most basic question about reality points to God. Why are we here? No atheist can give a convincing answer to that question. The real problem for atheists is pride...

Did Jesus truly say what's in the Gospels? - Biblehub article

I'm not interested in what the church or a church says God is or is not. I'm interested in how the bible says what God is. If you are not willing to accept how the bible describes God, how do you know anything about God? What is holiness? What is sin?

I am the detachment, the enlightenment and the balance of Samsara, no one responds to the One alive in Nirvana but by the power of the Crucible (om?)

enlightenment in buddhism is realizing that buddhism is the way to go, it does not lead one to Jesus and does not bring you closer to God, rather it is taking one away from God.

Did Jesus truly say what's in the Gospels? - Biblehub article

Questions are intended for answers and sometimes we should be questioning our own preconceptions. How does one learn about God? 99% of what we learn is from the bible, you may argue with that percentage, ultimatly it is the bible that teaches us and it tells us two basic facts...

The problem with urging people to apply themselves (in works), is that you need to go back further in the past to justify them (rushed?)

Ephesians 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Goods works...

Did Jesus truly say what's in the Gospels? - Biblehub article

Asking questions is good, so long as one is willing to accept answers. Are you willing to accept answers? There are many web sites that defend the bible, are you aware of there arguments, or more relevently, do you accept there answers? here is one site and an argument:- Can We Rely on the...

John14:25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world...

I am the detachment, the enlightenment and the balance of Samsara, no one responds to the One alive in Nirvana but by the power of the Crucible (om?)

Please provide the biblical verses that show that God considers other religous believes equal to what the bible teaches. Jesus does not reflect buddhist beliefs and his teachings clearly tell us to look to him, to follow him.
