Jesus and his fellow Jews lived in a very despotic land. They had two tyrants ruling them, King Herod and the Romans. What did Jesus preach about how to deal with King Herod, the Romans, and, as well, any other "despots"?

It's one thing for the almighty to "punish" a nation, but it's not clear when, if ever, Christians should "punish" another.
