    homosexuality and ethics

Of course you think you don't, but your attitude towards homosexuals speaks volumes. Best wishes, 2RM.

I don't dismiss scripture. There is plenty of wisdom in it. But I do think we have the right to ask ourselves the question: Is this writing, many thousand years old, relevant to my life, here and now? Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

So, we will all stand before the Lord to account for ourselves. Whether I will be condemned, for loving my fellow man, or you will be, for hating him, we shall discover in due course. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

Plenty of heterosexual acts fail to produce life. And just as well, for it seems there are quite enough of us, already. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

This is not a reason, or a justification. It is just negative thinking without reason, or justification. In other words, prejudice. If I were in any way so inclined, I would be tempted to sleep with a man just so that, cometh the end of days, we should know which of us was right. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

Speak for yourself. For my part, I am now too old for sexual shenanaghins. When I was married though, I was faithful. And I have never understood the reason why homosexuality is considered a sin. Perhaps you can explain? Best wishes, 2RM.

Billy Graham, and a new crusade

So the late, great, Billy Graham, took it upon himself to invade the UK with his version of Christianity. I wonder if now is not the time for we Brits to return the compliment. American Christianity is so full of philosphical flaws, leavened here and there with particular hatreds, that I truly...

    homosexuality and ethics

My theory, for what it's worth, is that we commit ourselves to heaven or hell. We can have the love of God, for all eternity, or we can live out our afterlives with hatred. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

You may ask. But I am not fond of facile answers. I consider myself a Christian, and am exploring the faith. That should be enough for you. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

Complete rubbish. Do you really think that God, who allegedly loves us all, would commit any one of us to eternal torment? Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

You do not think then, that in the ordinary way, consequences are a high enough price to pay? Best wishes, 2RM.

So who is responsible? we, for our inevitable sins, or God, for His Wrath? Lest it be ovelooked, I would remind you the wrath is one of the seven deadly sins. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

Lest this thread get stale, I want to introduce a wrinkle. That wrinkle being the idea that God is a liberal. He doesn't seem to care over much what we do, provided only that we are prepared to accept the consequences. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

You believe in your conceptions of God and Christ. As do we all. I suspect, though, cometh the end of days, you will discover how wrong you have been. Jesus has never been about hatred, only love. Best wishes, 2RM.

    homosexuality and ethics

I confess, I always tend to feel a little sad when somone sets me to 'ignore'. Tempered, of course, by the joy of victory. So, anyway, I write this for others. Prejudice is generally thought to be 'a bad thing'. The definition of prejudice is to hold negative thoughts about a person, or group of...

Fair enough. Ignore Jesus, if you want. No skin off my nose. Best wishes, 2RM.

I do not believe you have yet had the time to test out my proposition. Best wishes, 2RM.
