The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Well, I agree with you but I would ask that you might just consider the papacy as the "divided" kingdom mentioned in Daniel 7, 8, and the prophecies in 9 and 11.- as well as in Revelation. This is also a wonderful subject to discuss... there is no shortage of identifiers in Daniel as to the...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Certainly no problem with this but I am having trouble connecting the dots to our discussion on the cross. I will have to go back and see why I brought this into the conversation... but it was in response to something you disagreed with... we will hammer this out! Thanks.

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Got it and thanks! Well, I think it might be safe to say that you do not believe the little horn or this prince or the evil one in chapter 11 represent the papacy / papal Rome who will replace pagan Rome after their demise in 476AD (Daniel 7:11)?

If you do not mind, can you share with me alttle more about this?

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Oh, I see what you are saying... I have not thought of that or related the two .... In my interpretation, the "prince who is to come" is the little horn (papacy / papal Rome) who comes after 70 AD ... while you are connecting him to the prince of the kingdom of Persia....

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

That is more than kind of you to say that here.... I hope you might be interested in receiving or getting a copy of the commentary - there is so much in there that cannot be shared in these few posts. Daniel is THE most complicated book in the Scriptures - in my opinion, it is 10 times more...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

I understand and thanks for your thoughts!!!! When Jesus went to the cross (before He died), He had to take on the sin of the world. That was His mission from God. But before He could complete that He had to "give up His Spirit" to God. Just like in Adam when he sinned, the Spirit that God gave...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Thank you David and please remember that the narrative above represents only part of the chapter 9 narrative in the commentary - there simply is too much to speak to.... but I do agree with your comment above but here is a PARTIAL cut out from the chapter 9 narrative that addresses your point...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Thank you for your thoughs and I appreciate your comment that you agree - it is so difficult to most people to entertain different / new interpretations..... Anyway, regarding your comment on #8.. I certainly agree with your statement, but there are two things I would ask you to consider: 1)...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Part 2 In 9:26, Jesus is described as being “cut off, but not for Himself”—a clear reference to His substitutionary death. At this point, God no longer addresses Him as “Messiah the Prince” but simply as “Messiah.” The title of royalty is withheld. Why? Because Jesus is no longer appearing in...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Part 1 Each interpretation ties the identity of the “prince” to a different Temple and time period, and from there, determines who “his people” must be. But is that the correct method? What if there is another, more faithful way to identify this “prince who is to come”? Rather than starting...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

Unlike Matthew and Mark, Luke does not mention the AOD. Because Luke is wring his gospel to a different audience. Luke is writing to or speaking about the Messiah “as a man.” Therefore, there at least 2 things we might observe from his message; 1) he is not speaking to a Jew of Gentile but to...

The Great Tribulation Began in 70AD and Continues to This Very Day

The AOD is indeed the crucifixion of the Messiah. Without going into too much detail, because it would indeed be an extension narrative (chapter 9 narrative is based far the longest narrative in my Daniel commentary), but here are a few points to consider: 1) there is nothing in the history...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Okay, here is where I have to disagree with you! Jesus did say He was the “Bread of life” in John 6:35, but He never referred to Himself as the “pizza of life.” I am going to have to ask you for scripture here…:crossword: what version of the bible are you quoting from? (I know… it is not the...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

For what it is worth…. In John there are the 7 “I AM’s” that tells us who He is: 6:35, 8:12, 10:7, 10:11, 11:25, 14:6, 15:1 Then, we have the absolute “I AM” in 8:58 and they all speak to Exodus 3:14.

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Well, Danile 7 does give us a description that he will have eyes like a man and speaking pompous words... the papacy is certainly the little horn and he sits on the 4th beast kingdom - this is the "divided" kingdom that replaced pagan Rome after their demis in 476 AD (7:11). And also remember...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Not to disagree with your comment but only on the choice of the words you used, but the papacy is truly the "little horn" of Daniel 7, 8 and 11. There is no literal individual anti-christ but there definitely is the "spirit of the anti-christ" that anyone preaching a false gospel could be labeled.

A future third temple requires a new prophet

I think the only place one might contend that God does dwell with man on a pernanent basis is when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and have His Holy Spirit live within us.... but I know what you meant...

Help... the four creatures in front of the throne in Revelation

So we find the same 4 creatures (I think) in Ezekiel, the same 4 symbols surrounding the Tabernacle where Israel surronds, now there are 4 creatures in Revelation constantly praising God.... So, are they all the same? Are they all doing the same thing? Is there a transition going on that takes...
