    One and Triune God.

Now that you have told me to read your lips, what more could possibly be said?

    One and Triune God.

Maybe you would be willing to look at about 60 translations and see how many do not read that God was manifest in the flesh. Here is the link to Biblegateway.com. 1 Timothy 3:16 - Bible Gateway It is a shame that the holy spirit is teaching different things to different people.

It is Tigger 2’s research. I found his website several years ago. He also posted his research on this thread about Elohim and Echad. The question is, who will even read it?

    One and Triune God.

You declare it is sound doctrine but that is just your opinion. You referenced 1 Tim 3:16. Here is the study that Tigger 2 did on that verse. Please read it to see that many Bible translators (mostly if not all trinitarians) do not agree with the Bible you quoted “Although the KJV translates 1...

    One and Triune God.

I don’t think it is that they don’t care about 1 Corinthians 8:6 or 1 Corinthians 11:3 or 1 Corinthians 15:27, 28 or the simple relationship of a Father and Son. I think there is another reason. 2 Corinthians 4:3, 4 “If, in fact, the good news we declare is veiled, it is veiled among those who...

    One and Triune God.

I don’t think you are the one turning a Bible discussion into a debate. I have only been looking at this forum for a couple weeks but I can already see who is trying to show Christian peacefulness and who likes to throw insults. Arrogance and ignorance are a terrible combination but are frequent...

Post #141 has quotes from several reference works that disagree with your view. Please respond to that post.

    One and Triune God.

I do not understand why you need to explain the Alpha and Omega in Revelation to be able to understand the meaning of the words father and son. I am both a father and a son so I know enough about the subject to know for a certainty that I am not the same age as my father and my son is younger...

    One and Triune God.

Yes they did and though they stopped saying it out loud they left it in their manuscripts. We also know now that the Tetragrammaton was originally in the Septuagint. It was the church who removed it. Why? To promote their manmade doctrine that Jesus is LORD.

This confusion was intentional. Catechism 209 “Out of respect for the holiness of God, the people of Israel do not pronounce his name. In the reading of Sacred Scripture, the revealed name (YHWH) is replaced by the divine title "LORD" (in Hebrew Adonai, in Greek Kyrios). It is under this title...

    Was Jesus a mere man?

You also object to the NWT “throwing in” reflection. If you do some research you will find other translations which selected “reflection.” This is very logical because Jesus is the radiance not of his own glory but as you correctly stated “God’s glory.” Thus his radiance is a reflection.

    Was Jesus a mere man?

You are the one who conflated representation and representative in your response to Rich. If you disapprove of offering multiple possibilities of word selection when translating, you must disapprove of Strong’s, Vine’s and any other concordance.

    Was Jesus a mere man?

Just so you know Rich, Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that Jesus is the firstborn of creation, the beginning of the creation by God. We believe he is as the Bible says, the Son of God. Meaning, we believe he was the first creative work of Jehovah. We believe he is the only begotten Son of God...

Does God want us to use His name?

Ron’s beliefs apparently are an interpretation. He says ours are a reinterpretation. Ron’s Bible is a translation. Ours is a retranslation. I think I see a pattern.

    Was Jesus a mere man?

You ask: “Is "representative" ever used in the Bible in reference to Jesus and His relationship with the Father?” You might want to check some other translations of Hebrews 1:3. NIV - “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being” NASB - “And He is the...

    Was Jesus a mere man?

You mention a Pagan God man from Pagan literature and refer to Constantine’s role. What do you think is the Father’s view of inserting Pagan philosophy into what the Bible teaches? How does Jesus feel about people who claim to be Christian focusing their worship on him instead of on his Father...

    Was Jesus a mere man?

I agree that accepting Jesus as being truly human makes what he did so wonderful. He proved that a human can be faithful to God unlike the first Adam. Jesus being the Son of God also deepens the gift his Father Jehovah made. What greater gift could be made than one’s only son. Human fathers...

Does “I am” prove Jesus is the Almighty God?

Since you didn’t comment on any of the evidence presented, I have no desire to engage you. I respect your right to choose what you believe.

Does “I am” prove Jesus is the Almighty God?

I am that I am. Always makes me think of Popeye. Anyone can say I am what I am. But who can say I shall become whatever I shall become. Only the Almighty can do that.
