Forgiveness. Must we forgive ALL sins against us?

For the record “disputed” is not an accurate word. Rather, This idea has been blatently shot down as false.

The Lord Jesus Christ never drank alcohol - THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL IN ANY FORM IS A SIN!

Even “Mormons” don’t find drinking to be inherently sinful itself. Rather I, a “Mormon”, don’t drink because I made a promise to God that I won’t drink. Not because drinking is inherently sinful.

    Biblical Mary

Again: That's NOT actual LDS Christian doctrine. Rather is believed that Mary was a virgin and Christ alone is the only Begotten Son of God.

Is posture important in prayer? Why or why not?

Attitude is more important than physical posture. I know some folks that are big kneels and it helps them focus- great for them. I personally greatly dislike kneeling because I find it uncomfortable and distracting. I like praying in bed because I’m relaxed. I totally acknowledge that other...

How does an adult become a Catholic?

Sharing my experiences learning about Catholicism, as a friendly never-Catholic whom just wants to better understand and love Catholic folks. My learning about Catholicism can be broken down into two phases. The first was middle-school through young adulthood, wherein my best friend was (at...

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

There’s a lot about this post I got to flat out applaud: - it’s thoughtful - it’s thorough - You did indeed go and look and learn. - yes brainwashing is indeed a real thing and a problem, but it’s not a thing confined to certain groups, but indeed a universal human problem (we’re in total...

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

As previously stated, after doing my own thorough research of each, I passionately disagree.

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

I can't speak for another poster, by in my experience must "anti-cult" preachers have only studied their "anti-cult" own materials. They preach against Catholicism, but seldom have ever actually attended a Catholic mass and listened to Catholic people tell them about their love of Christ, let...

Execpt they each do indeed preach that. I know you’re not going to acknowledge that and we could run around in circles all day totally unproductively. But having first hand studied each one in person thoroughly (along with many other traditions), yes the ones you mention do indeed all preach that.

Not upset. Just acknowledging that this conversation will not be productive.

    Yeah... this is totally unproductive.

Predestination vs free will: is there really any conflict in Scripture?

Honestly, every angle of every contriversal theological point has verses people use for and against it. Free will vs predestination is just one example of this. Now, can such be resolved by just looking at scripture? For an individual, yes, they can reach thier conclusion. And other person...

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

Speaking personally, I have zero problem with ANYone's love of Christ-- in fact I celebrate that. But I naturally have major problems when somebody goes around bad-mouthing others and/or spreading bad information about what they I or others believe/are/practice. I'm sorry, but there's zero...

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

Knowledge is indeed important, no one is arguing that obvious fact. Or the fact that good godly learning should be encouraged. But ultimately we are saved by faith, and not our ability to pass a theology test. A little child whom has very little or poor book knowledge of Christ is still...

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

Protestant? Non-demenational? “Anti-cultist”? A person is saved by Christ, not by organizations. I’d recommend that time is best spent focusing on individuals and encouraging their relationship with Christ.

    Babylon is confusion by Mixing

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. We ALL as sinners and fall horribly short of God in our understanding, actions, and thoughts. Rather than throwing stones at others, I personally strive to shine light and bring goodness to the situation.

    Subjective Christianity

Note: a "Mormon" bishop is the leader of a local congregation (~200 active people). It's an unpaid position that someone holds for ~5 years and then the mantle passes on to somebody else. During that time, they're serving as a leader, but different congregation members give the sermons each...
