The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Does having a loose attitude towards sin sound like what Jesus taught in Matthew 5:28-30, Matthew 6:15, and Matthew 12.37?

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

@marks @Johann How do explain away 1 Peter 4:1-2? How do you each understand this passage?

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

You just basically said (using other words) how you are now in agreement with the OP. At one point, you made it seem like you were in disagreement. This is deception. Anyways, if you are against Sinless Perfection then that means you are for doing some kind of sin again in the future.

What do you make of 1 Corinthians 5 where Paul says to kick a fornicator among them? You’re ignoring this point because it refutes your false interpretation here.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

So did Paul tell the Corinthians to kick out a fornicator among them? Yes or no? If yes, then your interpretation on the beginning of 1 Corinthians 4 is false.

Again, I believe the Bible teaches that a Christian cannot live righteously by God’s power if they are defending how they must sin again at some point because God cannot agree with sin. Scripture says we are to have the mind of Christ and Jesus never once justified sin or how we must sin again.

Ah, so now you’re backtracking and changing your tune. You have now reverted back to revealing your true colors.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Sorry. God cannot agree with sin. That is by no means any real reality but a falsehood.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

That’s misleading because his whole point of his post was to shoot down “Sinless Perfection” and therefore giving a “like rep” to his post shows your overall approval of that post. If you only liked a certain part he said then you would quote only that part of what he said you like even though...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I use the Word of God and basic morality to prove my case. I did not write the Bible. God did. If you have a problem with God’s Word (See again 2 Corinthians 7:1, 1 Peter 4:1-2, and Galatians 5:24) then take it up with God and not me. I am just a messenger of His Word.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

So Paul was in error for telling the Corinthians to kick out that fornicator among them in 1 Corinthians 5?

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

This has to be read in the framework of 1 John 1:9, Proverbs 28:13, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Galatians 5:24.

Isaiah 26:10 (NKJV) “Let grace be shown to the wicked, Yet he will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, And will not behold the majesty of the LORD.”

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Again, your mindset is to see sin as a justification where there is none. I already showed you the context that Paul is not referring to sins he does not know about.

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I believe that one is born again and changed one time. But after that, one can die spiritually, and be made alive again spiritually at another time. For example: A person can be born into this world, and die, and then be brought back to life. It’s rare, but it can happen. The one Christian...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Paul corrects the Corinthians for their sin in 1 Corinthians 3:3, and he also was afraid of having to rebuke them for sin that they did not repent of when he came to visit them (See: 2 Corinthians). Jesus said we can judge righteously. We can correct and rebuke with God’s Word according to 2...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I just pointed it out to you in that they have not so learned by Christ in walking like the Gentiles given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. This means we have to be holy conduct. Peter says in 1 Peter 1 about how you are to add to your faith certain...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I am not a mind reader but if you reject the Word of God (in certain places) there is a reason or motivation behind why you are doing so. You have my apologies if my claim does not fit what your actual motivations are. But again, rejecting the Word of God (in certain places) stems from something...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

It is best not to go beyond what is written (1 Corinthians 1:10) (2 Corinthians 4:13). The Bible says we need to be born again to enter the Kingdom. But In Luke 15 in the parable of the prodigal son: We learn that when the son came home from his prodigal life and sought forgiveness with his...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Right now you have a mindset that you can sin and still be saved because you said that a person who sins cannot be unborn (i.e. they cannot lose their salvation). But there are plenty of warnings by our Lord that can sin can separate our soul from God - See again Matthew 5:28-30, Matthew 6:15...
