Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

The Holy Spirit has opened up your mind! Now let Him speak! Ask Him: "what is Christ's Grace?"

Why is the need to study the bible for yourself; important?

The word is clean. If you are unclean and you ignore the word, you will gradually get sick. The word is also prophetic. If you want the future to be revealed to you, you must be ready the way the word was. The word is also discerning. If you want to understand something, understanding the word...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

I did not say obeying the Law created righteousness or justification, just that it was not a surprise. Power over the curse of the Law, attracts. Attraction in the Law requires obedience; obedience in turn eliminates resistance. This is what Jesus is trying to reach us with: resistance in the...

Has the church got Genesis all wrong?

I don't understand, why can Israel not accept that its history was adopted? Do Gentiles object to being grafted on with Israel, because Israel had faith already?

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

I think the point is more that the Devil can't take your faith away. On the other hand, if you don't want it (your faith) God is not going to force it on you. Once you run into the Devil, you will realise your faith is worth something after all!

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

"The Law" meaning 'the whole of the Law'. The Mosaic Law, but also the Law written on our hearts (as believers). It should not come as a surprise that people want to obey the Law, that's the Law.

    ALL humans are equal!

Yes, but it is God's will that we appreciate the differences between different people, not ignore them? A more accurate statement is "the sanctity of every person is similarly unique". We need to thank God for our differences!

God doesn't just want child-like faith, God doesn't just want mature faith - God wants both! (understanding?)

What is important about this, is that God is seeking both the child-like and the mature at the same time, for life. We are never going to be above being accountable to our brother; we are never going to be beyond having to give an answer, to our brother. It is good to mull over this, and set...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

If the Law convicts us once, it convicts us an almost unlimited number of times. My understanding is that it is between us and God (whether we sin or not). That said, we should not cause a brother to sin, but treating the conviction of the Holy Spirit lightly (that is, sinning and disregarding...

Why are Bible scholars leaving Christianity?

Luke 13:24 "Strive to enter by the narrow gate, for many will try but will not be able" I think we need to pray for their souls, but hand their name over to the Devil (that they learn not to attack the faith). "We look ahead at that which is to come" Paul (from memory).

    Don't make everything spiritual

Jesus said "when you are done, say 'we are unprofitable servants, we have done what it was our duty to do" (gospels, from memory). That said, faith is partly your doing, so while you are praising God for His part, you should also be satisfied within yourself that you have done your part. But...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

In regards to the OP, the fact that your faith can get a second wind is completely overlooked. That said, the Bible does mention that there are sins that come first and sins that come later (letters, from memory), so it does help to be mindful of keeping the faith (that it is precious).

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

You need to keep people's expectations in mind, if you are going to lie? My expectation is that my body is my prerogative. You may wish I was more chaste than I am, but that is none of your business. I understand that you don't know what it means to be clean. I don't hate you for that. Just be...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Permit "homogeneous" then, that has an established meaning of being "similar in most ways". If there is an attraction between men, it is likely to lead to 'homogeneous' behaviour. What I don't comprehend, is why you hate the sin but love the sinner, but you won't go so far as to defend the sinner.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Woah! There is a big difference between finding men attractive and being attracted to them. You are getting muddle headed, because you keep confusing homosexual behaviour with homogeneous behaviour. God permits the attraction, but He denounces the lust (that's the same for both sexes).

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Again you are trying to typecast me, presumably as a way of sifting me out. I love men more than people who don't love them at all, but less than people who abuse their relationship with men (who defile their relationship). Homo-adoration exists on a spectrum, not a category. I continue to...

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

Because the point is not to typecast someone who is gay. I love my brother: is that ok?
  18. G

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

You said it exactly, pure love between men surpasses sexual love. Unless it is defiled, then it becomes something unfit for Heaven altogether.

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

If a man hugs another man, is that "gay" to you?

    Homosexuality: Wrong or Right?

I love people who love each other - there is no need for me to defile my speech, in order win over other people that are against "love"?
