You mean "these DO" except the first two?

    Shadows and Realities

Neither. It is willful rejection of your false interpretation.

    Shadows and Realities

I don't consider any Commandments as "OLD Law". That was your unscriptural designation for the Feasts and dietary laws. Faith establishes the Law for believers (Romans 3:31). None of those verses say that Sabbath is abolished or changed to Sunday. You would do well to not read into the text...

    Shadows and Realities

So I hear from men, but not from Scripture. The "and" refers to who we are to "know"; the only true God (YHWH) and Yeshua. It is not saying Yeshua is also the only true God. This says nothing about the Son being the only true God.

    Shadows and Realities

I never said that you said lambs should still be sacrificed. I asked in an earlier post, "Could sacrificing a Passover lamb each year cease even though the true Passover Lamb, Yeshua, had not come yet?" You answered, "No". In other words, you said sacrificing lambs could not cease until the true...

    Shadows and Realities

Unless you can show where a "shadow", not a type, ended before the reality came, then I spoke the truth.

    Shadows and Realities

They were both types, not shadows. A type is a person or thing symbolizing or exemplifying the ideal or defining characteristics of something. It looks forward to someone or something in the future. For example, many aspects of Joseph's life characterized or were parallels to Yeshua's life. A...

    Shadows and Realities

Just as the shadow of the Passover lambs were not to cease until the true Lamb, the true reality, came, all other shadows are not to cease until their realities come.

    Shadows and Realities

The Old Covenant is not the "handwriting of ordinances". The Greek word for ordinances here is a form of the root word "dogma" which means man-made rules, laws, commandments, precepts, etc. Paul is not talking about YHWH's ordinances (Dikaioma - used in Luke 1:6 pertaining to the ordinances of...

    Shadows and Realities

Please provide some examples where a shadow ceased to be observed before the reality came.

    Shadows and Realities

In your other post you said Passover lambs needed to continue to be sacrificed until the reality came. Are you now believing differently? Of course it needs to be practiced. Otherwise, what was the purpose of the shadow? The shadow points to the reality to come in a person's future. The Feast of...

    Shadows and Realities

I am glad you see this. So the point of my OP is that since the shadow of the Feast of Trumpets has not been fulfilled yet, it should still be kept by YHWH's people. Your reply of "No" in post #4 seems to agree. I agree the "fulfilling of the law has already happened", but not in the sense you...

So you agree that the OC did not end at the cross. Good. I agree.
  14. gadar perets

    Shadows and Realities

I can understand you saying that about the word "are", but NOT about "things to come". Yes, people still keep the Feasts and Sabbaths today and they ARE shadows of things TO COME in our future. Messiah is not the reality of all those things. He was the reality of the Passover lambs and of all...

    Shadows and Realities

The Old Covenant did not end at the cross which is why Hebrews 8:13 says it was "ready to vanish away". This was written long after the cross. "It is finished" refers to Messiah's work of redemption. I assume you are referring to the fact that only four specific laws were given to the Gentile...

    Shadows and Realities

2,000 years? We are discussing the English translations which have risen in the last 400 years or so that were made by translators who were part of a church that had abolished the Feasts and Sabbaths. Their bias clearly entered their translations. Nice try. If the reality had truly come and the...

    Shadows and Realities

I guess I look at it more narrowly. The Feast starts on Abib 15 and ends on the 21st with those two days requiring commanded holy convocations (Leviticus 23:7-8). Abib 10 would then be outside of the boundaries of the Feast and has no such commanded holy convocation. Even the slaying of the lamb...

    Shadows and Realities

Of all the English translations that exist, the KJV comes closest to being correct. Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ...

    Shadows and Realities

I agree. Yom Teruah is just one example of a shadow that was NOT fulfilled by Yeshua, but one which the "church" has erroneously abolished. BreadOfLife cited Colossians 2:16-17 which is the main passage erroneously used to abolish all unfulfilled Feast Days. I will address that in a future post.

    Shadows and Realities

Thanks. I agree. I am aware of the rehearsals and that Yeshua fulfilled the events that took place on Abib 10 in ancient Israel. I just don't see that as being a "holy convocation" as declared by YHWH. In Exodus 12, it was just a family event. It morphed into a national event sometime later, but...
