    Spotting the Heretic

@Behold , people are on this forum for a variety of reasons. Fellowship, discussion of different views, to preach at people, etc. I'm really big into respectfully discussing different views, you appear to be really into preaching at people. Which is fine, but it means there's not much for us...

    Spotting the Heretic

For the record: not believing in OSAS doesn't mean that a person believes that they are saved by works.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

Well said indeed and a important thing to remember. In my experience, the two most common idols are greed and pride. It's important to remember to be humble, keep God at the head at all times.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

*speaking as an actual member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (nicknamed "Mormon")* If a person is interested in making money, then joining a church where you're expected to spend several hours a week preparing & leading sermons/lessons/youth group/etc for free, is probably...

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

*sigh* @JesusFan1 , I literally just covered the actual facts of these topics, and you... suffice it to say that you've convinced me that you are completely not interested in having a fact-based or thoughtful conversation. So I'll quit trying with you.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

I know that this will most likely fall on deaf ears, but I'll explain it anyways. If anyone wants me to cite sources here, just ask: If you talking Christology, here's a comparative blurb-- LDS Christians and Athanasian Christians (aka Christians that believe the Athanasian Creed) both...

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

The reserve actually. The major irony of this statement.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

That doesn’t fix the situation where I’m being completely misrepresented, explanations I spend lots of time typing up are ignored, and... this is beyond frustrating.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

Nobody believes what's being posted here-- it's that glaringly inaccurate!

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

I appreciate your sentiment here, but it’s also incredibly frustrating as it feels like your praying to have me not believe something I don’t believe in the first place and that the explanations I spend so much time writing are just being ignored.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

That is not achieved Without good information about what is believed. Warning: you “anti-cult” site gives you completely bad info and only drives people away from Christ. If you want to stay embracing that, that’s your choice.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

Yes, Christ’s hands are most capable, and He alone is our Judge.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

I try really hard to address every point (or at least bite sized chunks). If I missed one, I apologize. Please let me know which and I shall address it. As to refuting / clarifying things, an example of that is my post explaining the different definitions of “church “ and the quotes being used.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

You have time to paste grissly inaccurate info, but not enough to talk to actual practionars explaining things and responding? That post took me 45 minutes to write (on vacation nonetheless), reaching out out specifically to you, and ...?

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

Rather than rote copy and pasting other people’s words, would you care to have a conversation, such as responding to my post about the different definitions of “church”?

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

I literally just explained this. All denominations have thier teachers and declarations. Actually such is largely confined to a small sub-group of Protestantism originally led by Walter Martin in the ~1960's.

Do Joseph Smith and Ellen White fir Bibal criteria of a true Prophet?

@Prayer Warrior , I'm going to go over one example of clarifying actual LDS Christians beliefs and sorting that from bad information. To facilitate this and cross any communication hurdles, I'll be using Protestant lingo unless otherwise noted. The point I'll be talking about first is this...
