    Drugs And Religion?

Charras, a form of hashish, is used by Buddhist monks in the Nepal region, but they're mistaken about the person of God, believing that we are God and that we somehow forgot (maybe from smoking too much Charras,)

    Drugs And Religion?

Pretty sure that the law is satisfied in just 2 commandments, to love the lord our God with all our heart, soul, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourself. So, do you have them down? Always showing love and compassion towards your neighbor? Always loving God through every trial? Pretty...

    Drugs And Religion?

I have a prescription bottle of oxycodone that I received after some medical procedure a few years ago. It remains unused because that pain killer slows my digestive system down and increases my general discomfort rather than just giving relief. OTC pain relievers can be effective for most types...

    Drugs And Religion?

Yes and no. I was raised Catholic and confirmed in the church at the age of 13. I know that I was not born again until the age of 39 and I'm quite sure that I never heard the gospel of salvation, the good news through which I believed and received Christ, preached in a Roman Catholic Church...

    Does Bible Contradict Itself?

If you believe a literal interpretation of the first two chapters of Genesis, then man and woman were created on the 6th day as in chapter 1, but Adam was created on or before the 3rd day (before any rain, any grasses or trees as in chapter 2) Then in chapter 2 we also find Adam being instructed...

    Does Bible Contradict Itself?

That's why it's nice to have digital copies that allow you to change font size.

    Does Bible Contradict Itself?

The "good woman" argument is over linking the Greek from the NT passages to the Hebrew of Isaiah's prophecy "the virgin shall give birth". Jewish translations use young woman rather than virgin and claim that the word translated doesn't imply virginity.

    Does Bible Contradict Itself?

Actually there are verses that do appear contradictory but are reconciled by doctrinal understanding. For example, in the book of Genesis we find a passage where Abraham is commanded to take Isaac to the land of Moriah and offer him as a burnt offering. The angel of the Lord stays Abraham's hand...

    Question about the M kingdom

Pretty sure that the scripture says that Jesus must reign until all His enemies are subdued and then hands the kingdom over to His father, which happens at the 2nd resurrection and after Satan is loosed and defeated a 2nd time. I'd like to think that those passages are in scripture for some reason.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

Actually the passage that mentions judging Angels is in reference to judging disputes within the church and not taking a brother to court.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

    It's a praise, not a query.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

Thought I used the ignore function with you a while back. Thanks for your opinion, but I'm afraid that I'm just unable to value it.

Thoughting again!....oh no, is that allowed?

This is the most misused verse in scripture. We have whole passages on church discipline in the new Testament and a group of elders couldn't possibly discipline a sinning member of the congregation without making a biblical judgement about the members behavior. Such discipline however, is meant...

    Drugs And Religion?

Pretty sure it was mocking Roman Catholicism, not Christianity.

    Drugs And Religion?

Sounds like a reasonable answer, but there's a simpler one. When Jesus passed the cup to His disciples during the last supper, He did not drink and vowed not to drink any wine again until He drank it new with His disciples in God's kingdom. That's actually a nazarite vow. I raised up some of...

    Drugs And Religion?

I did my share of arguing on AOL and I wish that the old boards were still accessible, but I couldn't find them. AOL does still exist though. I have an email address with them that I don't use, but there's still an online page for that.

    Drugs And Religion?

I thought dogma was one of the funniest movies that I've ever seen despite the carnal and somewhat immoral humor. If I didn't see the Lord as my best friend, I'd have never done some of the most difficult things He asked of me and God definitely has a sense of humor. The wicked plots against the...

    Drugs And Religion?

I think that you're spot on with this post, but I know from my personal experience as a longtime "abuser" of cannabis that besides just enjoying euphoria, I was self medicating because of long term anxiety issues and emotional trauma caused by parental abuse, disciplinary abuses of catholic...

Only 2 Comings by Lord Jesus, Not 3

A thoughtful post. While I struggle with the trinitarian concept of 3 distinct persons being 1 God, I don't have any problem with seeing the three persons of the trinity as three aspects of 1 being. However, it was Jesus that introduced us to the idea of God in 3 persons as He spoke of His...
