    The Devil's work

Nevertheless, it is the biblical view that those who have a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith can fall away (Luke 8:13) or be "cut off" (Romans 11:20-22). 1Jo 5:18, We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth...

    Commandments or Cross ?

You have misrepresented me by taking my words out of the context of the fulness of the posts that your quotations of me are located in.

Forgiveness is to those who keep the commandments of the Lord.

Except that I do; while you don't. It's true that I have made up my mind on the kjv-only/kjv-superior controversy. If that means that you are not open to anything that I have to say, well, that says something about you and those who ascribe to modern translations. They are closed-minded to...

    The Devil's work

1Jo 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Perfection is a practical thing... We are not sinless (1 John 1:8)...but we can be perfected (Hebrews 10:14 (kjv)). The element of sin, dwelling within us, can be rendered dead (Romans 6:6, Galatians...

    Commandments or Cross ?

Yes, our walk is by faith. And through faith we receive the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:14). And if we walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4). The fact that many who preach entire sanctification have not yet obtained that...

The old image of redemption and the new.

What do you think it means that the law is written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers who are under grace; if it does not mean that we are "Torah observant"? I will tell you that I am not a stickler for the letter of the law. I don't believe that we are even able to keep it...

Forgiveness is to those who keep the commandments of the Lord.

I have addressed what is in that very link in times past; but I do not feel led to put in the time or effort to do so again. The fact is, none of what is in that link shows that there are any errors in the kjv. There is an answer to every contention in the link.

    Commandments or Cross ?

Sure you do; for you sinned before you started obeying (1 John 1:10) In one sense true (Galatians 6:13); as concerning the letter of the law (Romans 7:6). We can be obedient to the spirit of the law as we walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4).

    Put on the New Man

Yes; for we put on the new man as we apply the holy scriptures to our lives.

The old image of redemption and the new.

To that I say, Nope. Right. I would say that also, those who are under grace are not disobedient to the law. In bearing the fruit of the Spirit, there is no law that can condemn our behaviour (Galatians 5:22-23). So then, in bearing the fruit of the Spirit, we become law-abiding citizens of...

    Put on the New Man

Of course it is important that you seek the Lord as you study His word... If you are not getting your interpretations from the Holy Ghost (cf. John 16:13), the default is that you are getting fleshly doctrine from your reading of God's word...which amounts to heresy (Galatians 5:19-21).

    Commandments or Cross ?

This has obviously been taken out of the context of the whole of the post. Allow me to once again clarify by saying what I mean by the word above. Not that we keep the commandments of the LORD in order to be saved; But that if we are truly born again of the Holy Spirit, the love of the Lord...

The old image of redemption and the new.

under grace simply means "not under the law as concerning condemnation". Jesus upheld the law of Moses in the immediate context of what you have quoted...in Matthew 5:17-20. I don't deny that we are "not under the law"...as concerning condemnation. But the things that I have mentioned show...

The old image of redemption and the new.

I disagree with you. See my biblical reasons for believing what I do in post #8 (The old image of redemption and the new.).

The old image of redemption and the new.

Christians are not under the law (Romans 6:14), are dead to the law (Romans 7:4, Galatians 2:19), and are delivered from the law (Romans 7:6), as concerning condemnation. However, as concerning obedience, Christians are under the law towards Christ (1 Corinthians 9:21). The law is written on...

    Put on the New Man

Putting on "the mind of Christ" is accomplished by staying in the word of the Lord. I would encourage believers to not pay attention to teachers on boards like these...because many of them are false. I would tell the "newbies" to start reading the Bible for yourself and just keep plugging away...

You're welcome. But I think that I may have already offended you with my next statements.
