Can a Christian be only partly saved?

And you don't know how to spell, so we're supposed to believe you?

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

Let's make this tougher for the slackers. What did Jesus mean when He said, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you." John 13:10 Hint: Christianity was originally called "the way."

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

There's some folks here that would argue against the sun coming up in the morning. Those that God has approved are being made manifest.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

    Beautifully said.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

I think it was the Apostle Paul, although Jesus was good with a snappy remark, or do you really believe there were people walking around with big old beams of wood in their eyes?

    Work Ethic

Yet plenty of people try, probably why hate is more common than love in employee/employer relationships.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

Solid theology (and practical as well.) Some people just like to ignore the resurrection completely, others just imagine that they've "arrived."

    Work Ethic

You can't make non christian business owners apply Christian principles (you can barely get Christian business owners to do that), and you certainly can't get corporations to apply a Christian business ethic. There's no way to do it short of legislation and such legislation would be thrown out...

    Paul and Faith Alone…

Do you realize that you've simply repeated what i've said using different words? I've defined repentance from the human perspective , but as the work of God within us, which is what scripture describes and defines repentance as. It is God who works to will and to do in us, but He does His work...

You seem somewhat illiterate, perhaps you should focus on learning the language, then you can understand postings.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

Actually I did give scriptural reference, book, chapter, and verse. The site provided a link for anyone who cares to read the verse and verify the reference. I had no idea that you don't know how to follow a link.

    The Mormons Are Coming

I don't particularly enjoy being rude, but I don't have a problem telling them that what they preach is anathema maranatha and leave it to them to go ask their "elders" what that means.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

Actually scripture says that we await the redemption of our bodies. Perhaps you missed that part. Romans 8:23

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

What am I doing? Are you implying that sanctification occurs before salvation? Or are you suggesting that a person is perfected the moment that he or she receives the Holy Spirit? I'd really love to meet a perfect person. You do know what the word "sanctification" means?

What does that have to do with obeying His word?

    The Mormons Are Coming

I used to allow Jehovah's witnesses into my home so that I could share the truth of the gospel with them, but eventually the Holy Spirit brought me under conviction of the word of God, which says that we shouldn't receive those who come to us and don't abide in the doctrine of Christ ( 2 John...

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

We are called sanctified after receiving the Holy Spirit, as in sanctified by God's presence within us (Holy separated to God), but sanctification remains a lifetime process as the Apostle Paul testified to. Work out your salvation with fear and trembling...

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

I should add that there is a sense in which we are not fully redeemed until the resurrection, because at that time our bodies will no longer have their original nature and will be free from sin.

Can a Christian be only partly saved?

Salvation occurs in an instant, but sanctification is a lifetime process. The first involves God's gift of His own Spirit, the seal of our redemption and sign of our adoption. The latter involves the work of the Holy Spirit, convicting us of sin and empowering us to obedience ( which requires...
