Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

I am not trying to impress you. All I am doing is stating the facts which you can get in any book about Autism.

Are Doctrines affected by Modern Versions

What worries me more is the influence of denominations. For example, one church that I was attending needed a formal process to be a member which included reading their doctrinal booklet and agreeing with it. So I read it and found 31 errors in it which were contrary to scripture. Before I got...

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Great stuff Hobie which we all need to read.

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Being autistic, I never get desperate. With high-end autism which I am on, the people are as level headed as anyone on the planet. What I would suggest is that your comment is for people that are desperate to seem knowledgable when they are obviously not.

    One Baptism

If the original Greek means fully wet, how do you get fully wet if water is not in evidence?

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

You can make scripture say anything if you are desperate enough. You need to go outside scripture and look at history. If you do you will find that it was man that changed the day from Saturday to Sunday to accommodate idolatrous practices. Nothing more and nothing less.

    One Baptism

The rendering in the Greek which means to overwhelm is in relation to the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

    One Baptism

The Matthew reference has the same Greek word which means fully wet. The Acts verse again means fully wet. THe corinthian verse has nothing at all to do with New Testament baptism.

    One Baptism

One baptism is talking about baptism in water as the original greek says to make fully wet. And note that no one in the New Testament baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They always baptized in the name of Jesus.

Age of Earth/Mankind Bible Study Thread - Sacred Chronology

No one knows the age of the earth. it says in Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters, No one knows how long the earth was...

John 3:5... YES! ANOTHER BAPTISM THREAD!

I was discussing a particular verse which had been raised and questioned. I did not do an exegesis of the subject matter. If I had I would have done it as a series of posts using the various verses that speak of water baptism. And the outward sign of an inward reality is a cliched comment not...

John 3:5... YES! ANOTHER BAPTISM THREAD!

I never make anything up as I don't need to. I prefer to do my homework and delve into the truth as many, many writers see it and then put it all together to come to a solid conclusion.

John 3:5... YES! ANOTHER BAPTISM THREAD!

You or others have made assumptions that are not accepted in the exegesis of scripture. First, you don't take ONE verse to prove anything in scripture. As the bible is its best commentary, you take EVERY verse about a subject to learn what it means. Second, the original Greek points out that...

The Authority of Dreams and Visions

One could easily add to dreams and visions why are any of the gifts of the spirit and the miraculous not accepted or received by all? I have a conviction as to where they are accepted or not is determined by where you live. You will note that dreams and visions and miracles are more prevalent...

Y do U believe what U believe, and do U have good reasons 4 those beliefs? - let's find out.

None of us believe what we used to believe for the simple reason the scriptures tell us to grow and mature. What I was when I was 10 years old I am not now because I have grown up (well, that was the idea). When I was born again I knew nothing (Manuel from Fawlty Towers). After 60 years as a...

    Judgemental People

Two things Jennifer. One, when you write, use paragraphs as it easier for the reader to see what you are saying. Usually one paragraph per topic. The other thing is it seems as though you are sounding off because someone gave you a bit of advice that you did not like or they overstepped the...

    Acts 2:44

I admit that I was given help in this matter as a pentecostal leader who was principal of a bible college had written a book on all the pentecostal denominations so that was a good lead-in.

    Acts 2:44

    Who wouldn't? They were sensational.

    Acts 2:44

Thank you for your question. The word denomination was not one used in scripture regarding the church but it is inferred in the teaching of Paul when he castigated the Corinthians of claiming they were of Paul, or of Apollos or of Tom, Dick or Harry. Most denominations are born out of a...
