As I posted when he said those words he was mistaken. The Bible and the Quran contradict each other, they both cannot be the word of God. As a Christian I believe the bible is the word of God and that the Quran is not from God.

No foster parent no matter how loving has to deal with the rejection, hatred that God has to deal with. It's not that I have a low view of God, but that you do not understand how high God is or how vile humanity is.

As far as I could see you didn't ask a question. To answer your question. It is not clear in John 1 v 1-5 just who or what John is writting about untill one reaches v 14, then it becomes clear that he is referring to Jesus.

So you are saying that every sermon is a message from God. That is something I would dispute as not every preacher is a Christian and even if he is they like you and I have times of dryness wqhen we are not following Jesus as we should.

No every preacher isn't a prophet.

What is amasing is that God makes any effort to call to those who hate him. Every act by God that benefits us is an act of enormous love and grace. ie every second of life is a gift from God.

It is one of the functions of a prophet to tell people the message God has given them. Whether that is about the future or about the present.
