Did Jesus claim to be God?

Receiving of the Holy Spirit and doing miracles does NOT make anyone a God!!! Read (Acts 9:40-41). After Peter raised Dorcas, he remained as Peter, the disciple. But there is a more significant warning to the world as God declared: "Believe in my Son!" What is the world to believe? John 8:24...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

The diabolical sons of Arius who deny that the ONE GOD JEHOVAH subsist as three persons love to quote Deuteronomy 6:4 in defense of their HERESY; apparently, they are unaware that "Elohim" is used in reference to the Godhead which is a uni plural noun. And they also fail to recognize that...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

No one in the know who posted here in CB ever said that Jesus is NOT God! In fact, at least I, have argued that He is the "The Great, I AM" Now God should not be thought of as separate individuals in the sense of Peter, James, and John because Peter, James, and John are not one. They are...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

@101G and @Brakelite2, Great is the controversy of the Trinity. The Trinity is one of many reasons why it is misunderstood because people read and critic the Bible as an ordinary, instead of a spiritual book. Jesus spoke in parables (Mark 4:34) and without a parable He did not speak to them...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Not only that, Jesus had to be born in the image and likeness of a man because it was man who sinned! Jesus became the second Adam. To God Be The Glory

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Our blessed Lord constantly affirmed that Jehovah was His Father. Yet the inspired Scripture insists that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. Our dear Savior is the Son of the Highest for He is the Son of God. Indeed without controversy is this mystery of Godliness. Now we must stand in awe of...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

"Fashioned by his God???" Jesus IS God. He never ceased to be God while He lived on this earth. Matthew 1:21,23 reads: 21) "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22) Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

age 4 But perhaps the most dramatic declaration of the Trinity lies in the manner in which the Scriptures declares that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit ALIKE raised Jesus from among the dead! In Acts 13:30 as well as Romans 6:4, is plainly stated that God the Father...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Page 3 Now the same identification is found in Isaiah 63:7-14 where all three persons in the Godhead are mentioned doing precisely the same thing. It needs to be remembered that the title “the angel or messenger of Jehovah’s presence” is an appellation which identifies God the Son. Isaiah...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

The diabolical sons of Arius who deny that the ONE GOD JEHOVAH subsist as three persons love to quote Deuteronomy 6:4 in defense of their heresy; apparently, they are unaware that Elohim is used in reference to the Godhead. Remember its a uni-plural noun. And they also fail to recognize that...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Did Jesus Claim To Be God? The word “Trinity” does not appear in Holy Writ never the less the doctrine is clearly taught in both the Old and New Testaments. The words “omniscient” and “omnipresent” do not appear in the KJV of the Bible, and yet no serious Bible student will deny that the...

Did Jesus claim to be God?

Addressed to the OP only, Matthew 27:63: Saying, Sir we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. John 2:19: ...destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Only God has the power to raise the dead. To God Be The Glory

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

It's because you have not read Psalms 138:2. Hereby, lies all your opinions...just opinions! I never assume anything when it comes to the things of God for I know the consequence. I may not understand a passage but I do accompany what I say with Scripture whenever possible. And that's the...

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

The whole Bible is replete with these types of adulation of God. Sad to say this is NOT the gist of Acts 2. Perhaps you folks should read the whole chapter. You might be able to pick up a verse that pertains to the context.

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

Are you trying to say God has a rule for Himself, one for John, and another for His people? THAT'S RIDICULOUS, OF COURSE! Listen my opinion does not amount to anything. If you feel my understanding of scripture is incorrect, then furnish some verses and tell me I'm in error and we'll reason...

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

I know exactly what God meant. People seem to forget that God love His creation so much that He paid a tremendous price by giving His only son to redeem a people for Himself which did not deserve to be saved. That's the kind of God I serve and worship.

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

I know you do not understand (maybe you do) the context of Acts 2. So, since many here seem to think they understand scripture I challenge you or anyone to give their interpretation of Acts 2.

God is in control: A Word from the Lord to those who will receive

Before the Bible was completed it was possible for miracles and signs to have had occurred. However, when the Bible was completed all these miracles and signs were no longer possible as stated in Revelation 22:18,19, except the miracle of salvation.
