Why did Jesus have to suffer and die?

f2f, if only you would/ could see how understanding the way the Hebrews wrote and why.....it would, if you had the courage, change how you saw. The risk for you though would be putting your current paradigm into question

    What is speaking in tongues?

Acts 2:11 tells us what the people said the disciples were saying. It was specific and targeted.

    What is speaking in tongues?

Speaking in tongues in its scriptural context is speaking well of God. It is sharing the good news of resurrection and forgiveness, of hope and healing. It is not that of talking gibberish interpreted as speaking a heavenly or a foreign language for no reason.

Why do Christians prefer their Churches segregated..

I have noticed Jesus hung out with the human race. Kinda strange that he should do that seeing most of them are racist.

    Thank you God

Yes, he does yet he also warns us 'don't be deceived'. I understand that as meaning, the responsibility lies with us.

    Thank you God

I will never leave you or forsake you Jesus said.....what a promise! The question is, will we ever leave or forsake him for and by our religious ideas....ideas held doggedly, ideas which are opposed to the Kingdom of God yet all the while claiming they are in harmony with it?

    Jacob You Worm

Keep flogging that dead horse Keraz. I know you hope it will come to life but I say, just as the Jews missed the Messiah on their doorstep and insisted on another, so you miss the intent of these scriptures you quote and clearly don't see it.

    Women Pastors / Teachers

I think you are attempting to use scripture to bolster Patriarchy as opposed to equality and with it the unspoken right to see women as second class citizens including the disadvantages this comes with....although you would probably not admit it even if it was within your range of awareness.

    Women Pastors / Teachers

God doesn't qualify mankind by what is between their legs. Have you forgotten Genesis 1:27, 'So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

You Serve God your way, I serve God my way, but what do the Bible say?

and the criminals came and beat Jesus to a pulp, then killed him. Is that some sort of context as to how the Kingdom of God operates?....ie, love your enemies....or are they just 'nice' words which can be poured out by the bucketload but have no substance in reality?
