They ask because they assume that being avenged in the human understanding of being avenged, is what God will do and is holding out on. The fact is, God is not like how they imagined him to be. Their misunderstanding of God's Character has them asking the wrong question. Nevertheless God does...

I think your understanding of how God behaves is the result of an entity other than God whispering in your ear. Jesus is the measure of how God is ...not the voices which say all sorts of things, even purporting to be God.

I don't think that's the nature of the God we serve. He is not like Men in their need to extract revenge. As far as getting a refund that Robert mentioned, I say, ahhhh, let 'em have it! ...It's all perishable and has no intrinsic value to God's children.....except those who worship it.

The scriptures continue to inform and encourage us to understand how high and wide and deep the love/ affection/ tenderness of God is for us and to not loose heart for he has promised to be with us till the end of the age.

Do we then first need to figure out who are his sheep before we tell them the Good News?.....because if they are not one of his sheep and we do tell them the Good News we are in effect lying to them.
