    ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed

ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed Yeahhhhh! God breathed! ....he walked and talked and gave grace after grace. '.....yet we esteemed him not....' Isa. 53:3 and.......' all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.' 1 Corinthians 1:20

I'm looking for a Christian Forum

Those pesky sinners.... I'm so glad I'm not one of them! If only they wouldn't employ the tactics I employ myself we would all get on. We could have a little club of real, bone-fide, genuine, holier than thou, flawless theology exponents who never judge, second guess, repeat worn out platitudes...

The Lamb slain from foundation of world

One of the great blunders men make in their enthusiasm is to tell before they have heard. They read something, formulate an idea and before one knows it they are off prattling about what they have imagined, assuming they have some special insight. How do I know this? because I've done it...

Who is the suffering servant in Isaiah 53?

I do not find this eschatological interpretation/ explanation satisfactory. In fact I find it a decoy which is and will be believed by most 'christians'. It sidesteps the whole purpose of the Revelation and focuses in on Ribera's interpretation ie, that of the counter reformation which to those...

Donald Trump says he will be a 'dictator'...

Donald Trump says he will be a 'dictator'... In my short few years I've seen a variety of 'tators' come and go. It seems they all have a limited run contrary to what they imagine. Mr Hitler thought in terms of 1000 yr Reich (kingdom) I mean, that's grandiose to say the least, he eventuated in...

The Great Apostasy in the Church.

Ahhhh, 'The Truth' .....and we may well ask, what truth? It sounds similar to the question Pilate asked of Jesus. Jesus had earlier said, 'I am The Truth'.....and here was Pilate standing right in front of The Truth and didn't recognise it. We might also ask, the truth about what? I would say...

The Last and Final Evil Kingdom of Daniel

The Last and Final Evil Kingdom of Daniel It is the Kingdom of selfishness that Jesus came to overthrow. It is the kingdom of selfishness in its full blown 'glory' on a global political and personal scale that is the final challenge to the Kingdom of Jesus ie, The Kingdom of God, that of...

The end in relation to when Christ initially returns.

Reading the scriptures in their context uncovers surprising, even alarming things. Without context one would sanction stoning of adulteress women, knocking out eyes and teeth, killing the enemy and so on. If one doesn't want to see context one can argue all one likes about words and what the...

The end in relation to when Christ initially returns.

Jesus came to this Earth representing the Father, full of grace and truth..... 'If you have seen me, you seen the Father', Jesus told his mates. Do you think Jesus worked a fire cannon?

The end in relation to when Christ initially returns.

Thanks for the reply, however for the purpose of staying on track, how does this address the matter of 'then come the end'? * by the way, I'm not SDA :)

The end in relation to when Christ initially returns.

    * My reply here is an attempt to understand the question about the expression 'then shall the end come' by laying out a chronology as I understand it. An accurate or not interpretation of 'then shall the end come' depends on how one understands several things. In my view this is how things pan...

The end in relation to when Christ initially returns.

'The end' comes in God's time. Of course our time is impacted. Jesus first coming is described as 'when the fulness of time had come...' Galatians 4:4 .......and so in like manner, when the fulness of time is come, Jesus will again enter Earth's time visible to all.

Is the story of Lazarus and the rich man literal?

I can't see that rational holding up Triumph. Lazarus was a common name as was that of Jesus and several other names we give a certain status to. The purpose of the story is in the punch line. It is not for the purpose of giving an insight into the state of the dead.
