The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

All are in Adam, no choice of their own and they cannot oft out. All are in Jesus by no choice of their own however, they can opt out by rejecting what is already theirs.

Many Are Called But Few Chosen = Matthew 22;1-10

@Ritajanice It's no joke. The confusion is basic; people cannot tell the difference between the good news and good advice. The responsibility is shuffled off onto the various selectively quoted texts. John the Baptist preached a message of good advice....repent and be baptised. This appears...

    [Question]Genesis 17:8

Interpretation is tricky when a faulty paradigm is assumed as a correct one. The Jews in Jesus time had a faulty paradigm, even the disciples. It wasn't definitively corrected for the disciples till they saw the resurrected Jesus. Incidentally, have you wondered why Jesus never revealed...

    [Question]Genesis 17:8

I think they are both Joe. Rightly dividing would in this case be appropriate. For example, when Paul spoke about how things will transpire at the return of Jesus (1 Thess. 4:16-17, 1 Cor. 15:50-54) he was talking about a physical reality. The New Earth is also a physical reality.

    City of Seven Hills

Babylon and Jerusalem are figurative for a counterfeit system/ understanding/ worship of God and a bone-fide understanding and worship, respectively. There is a bewitching in process that lulls people into false worship. People are called to come out of Babylon (a corrupted understanding of...

    [Question]Genesis 17:8

John the Baptist qualifies the idea of 'Abraham and his descendants' in Matthew 3:9 'And do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.' He was of course speaking to those who thought they had...
