Of course it is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is a choice we make to turn around, to make a 180-degree turn from the direction we were walking in.

So, verse 13 means that there is no choice involved in receiving Christ? That would put v.13 in contradiction to v12....not to mention a few other passages in scripture (such as Joshua 24:15, Revelation 3:20, Revelation 22:17).

Universalism is not the true gospel... If there is no hell then it is not good news that we are saved from hell... If there is no hell then what are we saved from? Without the doctrine of hell the doctrine of salvation has no meaning.
