It would surely be a good thread, I think we are all confused on that. Even if using it as a curse word is not what it means, I don't think we should be doing that anyhow. Lot's of other things Christians say it their place like "Cheese and Crackers", "Criminy Sakes" but, still they are...

Hi JohnPaul, I too was born and raised Catholic. Of course we all thought it was a representation of Jesus cross, yet still never understood all of the ritualistic words that came with it...cannot even remember if they were Latin or English. So much hidden that we do not see or understand...
