My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

They are not separate but distinct....even according to the creeds.

All the fulness of Deity dwells in Him Bodily !

I believe that the Son is the Father (though I also believe that the Father is not the Son)...Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 57:15, 1 John 4:1-3 + 2 John 1:7.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Actually, the first type of soil mentioned never gets saved.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

You can always look up the context if there is doubt... But I believe that you will find that the context of any singular verse or passage never nullifies the plain meaning of that verse or passage....for the scripture does not contradict itself. Again, this is a first rule of hermeneutics.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Luke 8:13 speaks of the believer who has a nominal, shallow, or lukewarm faith... As opposed to John 6:47 which speaks of someone who has a heart faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10), and enduring to the end (Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14, Matthew 10:22).

All the fulness of Deity dwells in Him Bodily !

I know that the holy scriptures teach that in the latter days men will not endure sound doctrine; but will heap to themselves teachers to tell them what their itching ears want to hear... It takes a heart of maturity to stay true to sound doctrine when false doctrine is being preached by...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

There are four types of soil in the parable of the sower... Only one of those types can bank on the promises found in scripture on eternal security (such as John 5:24 (kjv), John 6:47, John 10:27-30, Jeremiah 32:38-40 (kjv), Psalms 19:9 (kjv), Romans 11:29 w/ Romans 6:23, and more). But those...

Would the US government allow anyone to interpret the US constitution?

Jesus isn't a Catholic...I believe that there was an even entire thread recently devoted to this subject. Jesus isn't Catholic I believe that the conclusion was that Jesus was neither Catholic nor Christian...He was the Christ...the founder of the faith. (not to mention there is some good...

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

But apparently you think that the gospel of John is heresy...which shews forth clearly in the first chapter that Jesus was God before He was even born as a Man/incarnated.

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

Except that that is a heresy called adoptionism.

There is only One Gospel !

Since there is only one gospel, there is not "another testament of Jesus Christ."

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

    True Trinity.

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

Phl 1:6, Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Rom 11:20, Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: Rom 11:21, For if God spared not the...

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

We cannot do so apart from getting our bodies wet? It seems to me that the holy scriptures teach that with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

Take your time to get there if you need to...but get there.

How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!

What it says is "He who believes and is baptized shall be saved..." As opposed to "whosoever believeth in Him should not perish." Believing alone means that you should not perish...which to me seems iffy. If you are baptized also, it changes that iffyness into absoluteness. I would also...

The Eternal Security Heresy: A Comprehensive Refutation of OSAS

If you are truly saved, you cannot cease to have faith. Everlasting life means everlasting faith. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 5:5) and faith is instilled into us by the Holy Spirit as a fruit (Galatians 5:22-23) and as a gift (1...

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

However, such passages as Deuteronomy 6:4 and James 2:19 do mean to tell us that there is only one God.

My theory about the "Word" in John 1:1

I believe that there are three Persons; but that they are also one Person. Did you read the posts in the thread that I sent you to?
