For The 9999th Time, OSAS (Albeit Testimony Time)

They denied that Jesus Christ was come in the flesh. And that is a denial of the incarnation. John was specifically addressing their heresy when he wrote 1 John 4:1-3 and 2 John 1:7.

Do People Still Need Weekly Rest?

In Hebrews 8:8-10: Heb 8:8, For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Heb 8:9, Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by...

    Tithing Or 2 Corinthians chs 8 & 9 - which is right?

What I find is that many here are making excuses for their disobedience. But really, if you do not want to obey Malachi 3:10 as a principle, don't expect the promise of the verse to come to you as a principle either. You will find on your day of judgment that you were guilty of robbing God. I...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

In my opinion, Till heaven and earth pass away, is the key. For all will not be fulfilled until heaven and earth pass away, is what Jesus is also saying here.

Christians and the Law of Moses

You did not include this information in your first post: but now that I see it, I stand corrected. :)

    Jesus isn't Catholic

You have not proven me wrong. banal and trivial? It should be clear that the epignosis in Hebrews 10:26-27 is of the truth...not necessarily of Christ. Having an experiential knowledge of the truth means that it has affected your life; as in the case of the Luke 8:13 believer; who believes...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Homosexuals say that Christians are hateful for saying that their practice is evil. But I really do believe that Christians do "love the homosexual" and want him to be delivered from his sinful lifestyle so that he will not go to hell.

    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

It's been about six pages since I last posted, and there is too much for me to be able to comment on all of it. So I am bowing out of the discussion. I will say this, however. I have noticed that there is an argumentative spirit brewing in some here. This is what the scripture says on the...

For The 9999th Time, OSAS (Albeit Testimony Time)

Actually, the gnostics taught that Jesus could not be God or else He could not be Man; because in their view, spirit is good and matter is evil. And therefore, if Jesus is God (Spirit), He is good and cannot be made of matter (because if that were the case, he would be evil). In some of their...

Do People Still Need Weekly Rest?

Maybe you could provide a link. The problem with your interpretation is that you are saying that Gentiles are not a part of the New Covenant (really see Hebrews 8:8-10). However, Ephesians 3:6 plainly contradicts such a pov.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

Mat 5:17, Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Mat 5:18, For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 5:19, Whosoever therefore shall...

For The 9999th Time, OSAS (Albeit Testimony Time)

Be nice! He may by definition be a heretic; but this kind of response makes Christians (who are standing for the truth) on message boards appear to be the worst kinds of people...it is a very bad witness. It makes us look like we care more about conforming people to our beliefs than we...

Christians and the Law of Moses

It was not permissible under the Old Covenant; for the Old Covenant said you shall not do any work on the sabbath days (Exodus 20:10). It is permissible under the New Covenant (Hebrews 7:12).

They do teach this. But your saying they don't will only make it more likely that the people reading will be Bereans (Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11) and see that these passages do indeed teach it. So I am happy.

    WHO is the father?

That "the Word became flesh" means that the Word became a human being. Jesus was the Son of man and the Son of God.

Christians and the Law of Moses

Exactly the point I was trying to make. I'm glad you apprehended it so easily.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

You have still failed to answer my contention that the one who believeth on Him hath everlasting life. Have you considered what it means that their life is everlasting? It is not temporal. If the life being spoken of could come to an end, Jesus would have qualified His statement by saying...
