    Edward Fudge: Hero Or Heretic?

You should notice that after many of these events that you have spoken of, there is a resurrection and a Great White Throne Judgment that takes place. And Revelation 20:10 most likely of all scriptures declares what it will be like for those who will be cast into the lake of fire. Personally...

Christians and the Law of Moses

The point is that He was working on the sabbath day (John 5:16-18); and therefore violating the letter of the sabbath day laws.

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I find this interesting. How are these things blasphemy? Actually, Paul wrote to us that we are no longer bound by the letter but that we will be obedient to the spirit of the law because we have the Holy Spirit (Romans 7:6). So, there is a difference.

Do People Still Need Weekly Rest?

The same might be said of the commandment "Thou shalt not kill."

Can you Believe God can Calm, stop, destroy the Storm??

Is there a storm on the horizon? I do not have a television set so I am news deprived.

Can you be saved without a priest?

We receive the Holy Spirit through faith alone (Galatians 3:14); but through the Holy Spirit enters the love of God (Romans 5:5). This love is practical (1 John 3:17-18) and it is the fulfilling of the righteousness of the law within us (Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:14, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6...

What is the difference? (Biggest "contradiction")

I don't know if this helps; but I will just put it out there: Heb 1:1, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Heb 1:2, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made...

Nope. They are taught clearly in the word of the Lord.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

You capitalized "He". Are you speaking of Jesus? Jesus has to cooperate with God's grace in order to continue to have salvation? This illustrates my point quite nicely; for it should be clear that those who are born again of the Holy Spirit are in Christ (1 John 5:20). There is an utter...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

Our cooperation is guaranteed by the sealing of the Holy Spirit. For it is God who works within us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). And, he also causeth us to walk in His statutes and in His judgments (Ezekiel 36:25-27). And, He who began a good work...

Do People Still Need Weekly Rest?

Indeed; for man's own righteousness is as filthy rags before the Lord.

Can you be saved without a priest?

Baptism does indeed have the power to save us; and to be baptized means that you can have absolute assurance that you have been saved. However, a similar assurance may be obtained simply by calling on the name of the Lord. Jhn 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten...

Christians and the Law of Moses

In Exodus 20:10 you shall not do any work on the sabbath. Exo 20:10, But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

Can you be saved without a priest?

Genuine faith is needed; and genuine faith will apprehend the love of the Lord (Galatians 3:14, Romans 5:5). But genuine faith alone does indeed save.

    Jesus isn't Catholic

The point is that those who do these things will abide for ever...therefore they cannot cease to abide, or be saved. Because real salvation has within it the sealing of the Holy Spirit; so that the Holy Spirit motivates you to live a holy life...He changes your nature so that you cannot do...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

If you can cease to have everlasting life, it wasn't everlasting life in the first place; it was temporal life. And therefore, if you have everlasting life, you cannot cease to do these things. So, you're saying that you would have to be an absolute fool in order to lose your salvation. I...

Can you be saved without a priest?

That scripture is speaking of the glorification of the body as salvation; not initial justification (see John 5:24 (kjv)). In Acts of the Apostles 18:8, it becomes clear that many in Corinth were baptized. Since Paul wrote that he was not sent to baptize to the Christians in Corinth, it is...

    The Ten Commandments—What happened?

I would merely point out what it says in Galatians 2:16 and Romans 3:20...that no one will be justified in God's sight through keeping the law. Because, all have sinned, and come short of the glory of the Lord (Romans 3:23). Therefore the only way into heaven is, not through keeping the law...

    Jesus isn't Catholic

What I am saying is that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit as believers (Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 1:22, 2 Corinthians 5:5). And that in this, the Holy Spirit indwelling us has the power to motivate us to live holy lives (see Philippians 2:13). As a matter of fact, He changes our very...

Also, @BreadOfLife, you should be certain that I have not been contending for OSAS but for POTS... And therefore I am in certain agreement with some of your points. The verse that I think explains my pov most clearly is the following: 1Jo 2:17, And the world passeth away, and the lust...
