    Grace vs Legalism

No, it did not destroy my faith. It tested my faith. And that is what I would have said. I don't remember what I said exactly; but if you want to press home your point, feel free to use the quote feature and bring up the post where I said what you think I said. Since you, as a teacher, are...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

It is actually a promise in holy scripture. And it is not made null and void after you have been born again. If I sin against my father or brother, my relationship to them does not change: I am still their son or brother. But in order for fellowship to be restored, it is a good thing if I...

@Behold, you also didn't answer my questions.

    Grace vs Legalism

The thread that I have written is ongoing, I started it about 1 1/2 years ago. I don't spend most of my time giving out what I have received, I spend most of my time receiving from the Lord what I am going to give out. It's the wisdom that you might find in Ecclesiastes 10:9-10. Instead of...

    Grace vs Legalism

There is a two-in-one law, found in 1 John 3:23. Believing on His name is what apprehends the love of the Lord (Galatians 3:14, Romans 5:5) so that the practical aspects of what you do in your life is changed (1 John 3:17-18).

How could the Messiah be sinless?

He became sin for us when He died upon the Cross. Before that, and during His life, and after His resurrection, He was and is without sin (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5).

How could the Messiah be sinless?

I wouldn't even deal with @DNB for the most part...he denies the Deity of Christ, which means he is not a Christian; and is carrying doctrine contrary to what you have learned (see Romans 16:17)

WHICH GENTILES ARE GRAFTED INTO THE OLIVE TREE

A case can be made that some Gentiles are in fact Jews (spiritually)...just read Romans 2:25-29.

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

@BOL, you make me laugh sometimes. Those scriptures together show that Paul was stoned and his persecutors believed him to be dead. Many commentators believe that it was at this point that Paul has his experience that he speaks of in 2 Corinthians. You can take it or leave it. If you leave...

    Grace vs Legalism

I would mention something as a question for you, @Behold... In 1 John 3:6 it says that the one who abideth in Christ "sinneth not." So, if I therefore commit a sin, have I not ceased to abide in Christ? This would indicate that in some sense, I go out of Christ when I sin and enter back into...

Acts of the Apostles 14:19, 2 Corinthians 12:1-6.

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

I believe that confessing our sins is a practical way of walking in the light as He is in the light, personally.

Becoming a perfect Disciple of Christ

Romans 4:5-6, Titus 3:5 (kjv), and Ephesians 2:8-9 all teach us that works do not save us. I have said that if anyone has a genuine faith, it will produce a change of character and a change of life. And this is what it means that faith without works is dead. But the change of life and...

@Behold, We are all still waiting for your exegesis of the verses in question.

    How to recognize a real Teacher.....Pt 1

1Co 1:10, Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. Know, @Behold, that I and very possibly @CharismaticLady...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

I do not wish condemnation on you, friend. I wish only the best for you. And I know that in responding to the call to teach, I have chosen the better part; for I have not hidden my talent in the sand, laid up in a napkin, thinking the Lord to be an austere man. Also, I am most certainly not...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

When you stand before the judgment seat of God, whether you believe that Jesus is the great I AM, will be a deciding factor as concerning where your final destination will be. If you don't, Jesus is clear in saying that you will die in your sins. I cannot reveal this to you except by holy...

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

I agree; for this appears to be the teaching that we find in Galatians 3:14-17. I would just point out what it says in the following scripture: Luk 13:1, There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. Luk 13:2, And...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

If that were to occur, I know that I have erred on the side of what is taught by holy scripture. And I don't believe that the Lord will condemn me for that. He might condemn you, however, for believing contrary to holy scripture that Jesus isn't the great I AM. For Jesus said that if your...
