If he sinned apart from the law he will also perish apart from the law... There is only forgiveness in Christ; and all have sinned and come short of the glory of the Lord. I believe that he will be given an opportunity at his judgment seat to receive his judge as Saviour and Lord if he did not...

Yes indeed. Some stand before the bema seat; and others before the Great White Throne.

Men will be judged by their works at the GWT judgment; but those who are saved are saved by grace through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast. Those who are saved may not even appear at the GWT judgment; they will very likely be...

Christians and the Law of Moses

How long did the seventh day last in God's economy? By the time Jesus rolled around, the Father was working and He was working (John 5:17-18).

    Spotting the Heretic

Sin is not imputed where there is no law; but it is still sin.

You're right... The reason being that, while all have done evil, the evil that some of us have done is blotted out / erased from the record because the blood of Jesus Christ was shed; and we have also been given a new nature that is inclined towards doing good. So then, those who have been...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Christ is God, and also died for the sins of man. Have you considered what a coward the Father must be, to create a finite human being and force him to go to the Cross to pay for the sins of mankind; and didn't do it Himself? But this is not what happened. In Isaiah 9:6 it becomes clear that...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Lol, that is hilarious. Hos 9:7, The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. Since I have proven the Deity of Christ on these boards time and...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Scripture (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58, John 8:59, John 10:31-33) shows that Jesus claimed to be God. And He also went so far as to say that if you do not believe that He is the great I AM, you will die in your sins (John 8:24).

What is the point that we should judge someone as being a false teacher?

The gospel that is set forth by Paul in Galatians is an ebenezer stone in this. If someone contradicts this gospel, they are a false teacher. I believe that the Deity of Christ is also important; if someone denies this they are teaching falsely and should not be trusted. Other than that, we...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

This coming from someone who denies the <essential for salvation> doctrine of the Deity of Christ.

That scripture brings up an interesting point....because all have done evil (Romans 3:10-18, Romans 3:23, Galatians 3:22, 1 John 1:10). So then, are all raised unto the resurrection of condemnation?

    Spotting the Heretic

Once a man is forgiven through the shed blood of Christ, he is free to walk in and be led of the Holy Spirit. At this point, he is no longer condemned by his failures; but when the Holy Spirit leads him to do something that is according to His will, he can do that thing. And if he doesn't, he...

Christians and the Law of Moses

I am interested in who you believe these false teachers are, and what is the nature of their false gospel and how it is unbiblical.

False teachings, in Hebrews 4? I don't think so.

Christians and the Law of Moses

The change in law has to do with moving from being bound to the letter to being obedient to the spirit of what is written (Romans 7:6, 2 Corinthians 3:6). If we walk according to the Spirit, we will not walk according to the flesh (Galatians 5:16). The works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21)...

Christians and the Law of Moses

The concept is there (just look at Hebrews 4).

No one is good but God (Luke 18:19) and the one who has not been regenerated by Christ is not good (Romans 3:12). Barnabas was good (Acts of the Apostles 11:22-24), not because he was God but because God dwelt in him. The fruit of the Spirit is among other things goodness (Galatians 5:22-23)...

Fred will be given an opportunity to receive or reject Christ at his own judgment seat is what I believe. See 1 Peter 3:19 and 1 Peter 4:6.

Christians and the Law of Moses

Jesus came as high priest according to the order of Melchizedec; and with a change in priesthood (from Levi to Melchizedec) there was also a change in law (Hebrews 7:12). The letter of the OT required that no one lift a finger to work on the sabbath day (Exodus 20:10). Jesus said, I am the...
