Agreed. To me, baptism is a confession of faith before others and that is all IMHO. And, the water itself is symbolic of washing away sins. So...if it's all together something else then, I've not heard or read of it.

It is quite interesting as well as disturbing! What's more disturbing is the lackadaisical approach to certain views on here about sin itself. Do folks not know that the ONLY thing God hates is...sin. His yoke is light, easy. I will not say that I do not sin at times...some might not see...

Praise God! We know who we are celebrating and, when I was brought up, we were always taught...from day one what these Holy-days were to be about. I was Catholic then so of course, we all together went to Mass. And, we were so grateful for our good times together...lot's of memories made...
