    Paul's Gospel

Yes I agree that I, like most Protestants, say that the Apocrypha is non-canonical.

A.I. is great for helping to spread the word of God. How do you like these?

I wouldn't. How could anybody draw a spiritual God? Not sure of myself, but sure that Jesus said: (Joh 4:24 NKJV) God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Paul refers to Jesus Christ by saying: (Col 1:15) He is the image of the invisible God, the...

Have you ever shared the Gospel with a complete stranger?

Thanks. What was really amazing was that it was the staff of the secular newspaper who particular requested that I should quote the Bible in the weekly "Thoughts."

    Paul's Gospel

OK so you meant "Titus" and "Macedonia." That doesn't explain why you believe that the man in Paul's vision was Titus. If the canon I used was "derived from the RCC", it would contain the books of the Apocrypha, so it would include Tobit. Mine contains the 39 books of the Old Testament, and...

    WAS JESUS A CARPENTER?

Jesus is called a carpenter (tekton) in Mark's gospel: (Mar 6:3 NKJV) Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" So they were offended at Him.

A.I. is great for helping to spread the word of God. How do you like these?

I didn't say I disliked them. I simply expressed my opinion that images of God as an old man in the sky misrepresent what our great God is like.

A.I. is great for helping to spread the word of God. How do you like these?

I would never do such a thing. You don't even know me. I am not like that at all.

A.I. is great for helping to spread the word of God. How do you like these?

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to diminish anybody's work. I agree that it is the word of our heavenly Father that is important. However, I do think that the "old man in the sky" image can give people a seriously wrong view of our heavenly Father. Thank you for that, though the images did not...

    Paul's Gospel

This is getting more and more complex. Now you are giving an name to the man of Paul's vision, Titon of Makkedon. Where is he called that? Not in Acts 16 - that just a man from Macedonia. Nor do I see anything "plain" in 2 Corinthians that says that the man in Paul's vision was Titus. And...

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

I was simply responding to your OP, and your suggestion that somebody who claims to be 100% certain that they are saved cannot be humble. I didn't say that the thread did have anything to do with saving ourselves. I started my post by saying "If we saved ourselves, then it wouldn't be at all...

    Paul's Gospel

But none of that answers my point, which was about you claiming that Luke was Raphael. You have pointed me instead to Paul's conversion, and seem to claim that the Ananias whom God sent to him was in fact an angel mentioned in the Apocrypha. You also claim that Gabriel is Hananyah. You say...

Have you ever shared the Gospel with a complete stranger?

I am privileged to write a biblical "Thought for the Week" for our local weekly newspaper. I seek to ensure that the gospel is clearly presented in each "Thought", and I pray that our great God would use this to reach many in my area with the gospel. I realise that y the OP was probably...

How Confidant Are You Being Saved?

If we saved ourselves, then it wouldn't be at all humble to say, "I am 100% confident that I am saved." But the Lord Jesus Christ is the One Who saves us. All the glory goes to Him. So when a saved person says that they are 100% confident that they are saved, their confidence is in Jesus...

Sinful during dreams is sin ???

Thanks for that. I searched for, and found, your post 15 when you replied to my post 22. Thanks anyway. I agree that we cannot stop sinful thoughts springing into our minds, but as you say, we shouldn't dwell on such thoughts.

Sinful during dreams is sin ???

Sorry, I somehow missed that one.

    WAS JESUS A CARPENTER?

Yes, as I understand it (and I don't know more that a few words of New Testament Greek, so I redly on concordances, etc), the word translated "carpenter" can mean a craftsman in wood, but it can also mean a craftsman more generally. Here is the concordance entry I found for the word: 5045...

Many Say ‘Just BELIEVE’… But What Did JESUS Actually TEACH?

So do you think people today are saved in a different way to the way the Christians in the church at Ephesus were saved? What indication does Paul give that the Ephesians were saved by grace through faith and not of works, but at some time in the future there would be a different way of being...

A.I. is great for helping to spread the word of God. How do you like these?

The thing that struck me was the way God is portrayed as an old man in the sky. This is false, as God is spirit. It just strengthens the false idea so many people have about God.

Sinful during dreams is sin ???

Thoughts can be sinful. Remember what Jesus said about adultery: (Mat 5:27) "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY.' (Mat 5:28) But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart...

    Marry in Registry Office

Not here in the UK. The KJV here is published under what is known as "Crown Copyright." Besides, godly commentators who did not use "modern versions" believed that Romans 13 is speaking of the civil authorities, which in that time meant the Roman Empire. OK, I agree with that. My mistake...
