What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

REV 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. As I said in your last post, this judgment was...

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

You have an Interlinear of the OT only? I haven't even heard of one of those. Do you have any NT Greek Interlinears? Do you also use something like Strong's Concordance for their Hebrew/Greek dictionary/lexicon in your studies? In post 56 when when I asked; "First question; What "earth and...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Not quoted correctly above; in post 147 (first line) I said; "He wasn't BORN a sinner, ........he was CREATED ..... the first..Adam, the son of God. (Luke 3:38) and he was not a sinner." So are you then saying that Adam, the first SON OF GOD, who was created by God, was created with a...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Hmm, a dog analogy? Let me try this; But we 'unlike a dog' have two minds. We have a "natural/soulish" "carnal mind" and a "spiritual mind". ROM 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

The above is still correct. He wasn't born a sinner, he was created the first..Adam the son of God. (Luke 3:38) and he was not a sinner. Critically thinking, Adam wasn't even the first sinner of mankind....right? Eve was! Let's apply that truth to your "Rom 5" comment. But first let's see...

What does it mean to be "born again"?

Adam wasn't born a sinner. He became a sinner after he sinned. A baby isn't born a sinner. He is born with the fallen flesh nature of Adam. But he isn't a sinner until after the first sin. Being 'born again' wasn't even possible until after the cross, death AND resurrection of Jesus.

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

I truly had to laugh at your opening statement. Just exactly which ONE TRANSLATION of the bible, would you be referring to? Man has written 300 different bible translations in the last 1900 years. And 'the church' has been arguing about subjects like this ever since the apostles died and the...

What is the difference between the soul and the spirit?

'First' let me ask what translation/s do you study with? I am going to use the Young's Literal Translation, just because of its more 'literal' interpretation of the Greek. 'Second' I want to share a quote I had to laugh at the first time I ever heard it....decades ago. "The dumber Christians...

    Forgiving others

When you experience the difference between being born again with childlike faith....as I was; You then need to grow to a more mature adult like mind OF CHRIST. You might have said something else in this post worthy of reading with your childlike mind. But it is 'Something' I am not dumb...

    Forgiving others

And that point is the first thing I dealt with. But I did so in the context of the whole chapter of the very scripture YOU 1/2 quoted. And your 1/2 reading led you to promote a whole lie conclusion IMO So my answer, which doesn't make sense to you, makes perfect sense to me. I do agree with...

    Forgiving others

A human spirit not born of God, wasn't available for anybody in 'the context' of your John 8:31-41 quoted verse. Spirit isn't even mentioned in the whole chapter. JOH 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; Jesus...

What Are Demons? A Bible Study on Language, Culture, and Competing Views

I've read your TESTIMONIES here several times. I can identify with every experience you have shared. I want to hit the LIKE emoji on every post concerning those same experiences. But every post has something in it that I struggle with theologically. Having written that 'point'....I'm just...

    Forgiving others

JOH 17:3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. Thank you "my Lord and my God" that I have known you since 1972, when my spirit was born again and eternally saved. JAM 5:19 My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the...

    Not a dream

I got a, let me just say 'ping' in my spirit, when you said; "thats not gonna work here you try that on someone else". I don't know if you are married or have kids or even someone living in your house. But that's like word cursing someone else and giving them a 'legal' right in your house. I...

    Not a dream

@WHO ME I answered your post today after quickly reading it yesterday. But since doing so, I've been having second 'feelings' since that posting. And having just got home and reading it again, I do agree with you it wasn't a dream. I believe that what you experienced is called an open vision...

    Not a dream

I know personally of what you speak and have heard testimonies of many others in my life. A life consisting of both 'before and after' becoming born again believer. I have been taught and believe, that we are triparte human beings. We are spirit, soul and body. And dreams can come from any...

    What Does "Christ" Mean?

1JO 2:27 but the anointing which you received from him abides IN you, and you have no need that any one should teach you; as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, abide in him. I believe that the OT literal symbol has a NT spiritual...

    What Does "Christ" Mean?

Personally I still disagree with capitalization of messiah in the OT and NT. upon more than the little bit I wrote. You said above you only use capitalization for proper names and God. I have no problem with that. I do have a problem when man does things God never asked him to do...

    What Does "Christ" Mean?

Strong's 4899 mashiyach: anointed; usually a consecrated person (as a king, priest, or saint); spec. the Messiah I like what I'm reading, but especially because you see that it was that "anointing", that made Jesus the messiah, or "the anointed one". I do have a problem in the Hebrew though...
